Brilliant remote location in the woods, but yet close to Kristansand. Small house with all facilities. Very helpful host. The luggage was brought by a quad, except for the last bit. Nice view over the bay.

The toilet is a separate outdoor cabin, not too bad but a bit problematic during a rainy night.

This is a beautiful rustic cabin, off the beaten track, perfect for a few days away from everything. The view is stunning, the hosts extremely helpful and you can not help but relax here. I have never re-booked a cabin but this is now the second time we have stayed here and we will not hesitate to book here again. Unusually for cabins in Norway, you do not need to bring bed linen and there is no additional charge for cleaning though leaving the place tidy is only polite. The shops are about ten minutes away by car and your car is about a five minute lovely walk away from the cabin. Can't recommend this place enough. Love it.

I would say there is nothing we don't like but as this is my second glowing review of this cabin I thought I could point out some things that might improve it further. Firstly, it is not easy to swim here as the are a lot if underwater reeds and no easy entry point. Last time we visited there was a platform in the water but that has now gone. It would nice if a small patch of the underwater reeds were cleared and a small ladder installed. The kitchen might benefit from an oven in addition to the gas burners but we used the BBQ as an oven and that seems to turn out OK. The toilet situation is well mentioned in the summary of the property and so there should be no surprises but we felt that the lighting up the path to the toilet could be improved a little as it is a pretty dark trip at night. None of these things distracted us from our stay which was just as fantastic as last time.
