Driveway by the gate needs some love.

The animals we were able to see were wonderful. Lots of different birds right outside the window to watch. The kitchen was well stocked and the hosts very friendly.

There is significant damage in living room and master bedroom from roof leaks. There were wash cloths covering some lamps in the living room to keep water from leaking on them.

Hosts were friendly and kind. The pistachio cookies (baked by the owner) were fantastic. The bed linens and towels were plenty and clean. The view from the living room to the bird and animal feeders is great and a unique experience, the hogs could not be bothered by our presence. The locations is ideal for many trails and close to Marble Falls and Burnett, distance to Austin is a little long but manageable.

The place was uncomfortably dirty. The hosts emphasized (verbally and in so many signs on the walls) how well they clean the place, so we thought it is not worth complaining about this during our stay. The floors were sticky and visibly dirty. Bathroom was obviously not cleaned properly. The house itself is very old and in desperate need of many repairs. For example the roof is leaking (bedroom, living room); there is no floor cover in living room, only concrete; kitchen cabinets are run down; the fridge is leaking; toaster dirty; patio is unusable. Also all the pots and pans are very scratched up and old, we suggest that the owners invest in new ones. The place is advertised for 20 people, but there is only one bathroom and one toilet. Excessive signs everywhere.

Honestly. Nothing.

The place was absolutely filthy. The host stated it was clean. It was not. My sister still had food debris in her sheets. They clearly were not changed. The couple tries to use the fact that this is their supplemental income to make you feel bad. If you think this place is clean. Re-evaluate. Use the money that you charge for a cleaning fee and get a cleaning company to come out. Clean up the property. Fix the water leaks. Fix the damage from water leaks .Take all the clutter out. There's no need for so many notes everywhere. There's no need for you to constantly show up. Clean out the utensil drawer Where there is still bug poop in it. Replace the carpet. Underneath the sink had a growing bucket of mold of where the water leak is from the sink .Fix the AC. It was hot. Hair that was clearly not ours was all over the bathroom. Be honest on bookings. And there's no need to come for me after this review. I'm allowed my opinion. We ended up leaving early. It was honestly so gross. Put that money back into your rental that you charge. Upgrade and the property. The fact that it's hot and you couldn't even open the windows. The back door glass was broken. Clearly State Your policy on bookings as well. Don't show up the day before we're supposed to leave and say we need to be out a certain time. And try to make me sign a separate contract.

Well, my goodness, where do I begin? As I bite into this delicious homemade Blueberry Cream Cookie, I recall every wonderful moment I have spent at this beautiful piece of countryside. Before I even arrived I had a feeling I was in for a treat. Miss Kaz and MR. Bill are some of the nicest and down-to-earth people you could possibly meet. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and given the grandest tour one could ask for. The wild hogs, or should I say, domesticated hogs, were so much fun to watch romp around in thier muddy pen.. haha. Ms. Kaz took me all around and showed me campsites with natural landmarks, each with a delightful story. We even got some rain the first night so the swimming hole filled up and showed promise of summertime fun to come. The living quarters are both quaint and comfortable with a few simple rules for country living with a septic system. No problem there, easy peasy. The bed is very comfortable and theres a huge TV room with 9 or so recliners ready to go for movie night. Rather than watch TV, however, I enjoyed the outdoors and did FaceTime with my kiddos so they could see the sights. I will definitely be back with my family when we can. Such an amazing experience out here, I tell you. The animal look-outs were also a delight! → If you’re someone who doesn’t believe in Heaven on Earth, you should get out more!... and start with this little chunk of paradise.

We had the whole house to ourselves. We love sitting in the living room in front of a huge picture window, watching all the wild animals (deer, raccoons, possums, fox, wild boar) come to munch on the food the owner sets out for them. The owner provides all the kitchen utensils you could possibly need to make your meals if you choose to.

We initially had a misunderstanding of how long we were staying. But that was resolved quickly.
