Casa Vacanza Scacco d' Argento

- Our host was lovely and extremely helpful. She left so much information about the surrounding area and also helped us to book the Terme di Boario spa visit. She checked if everything was ok multiple times during our visit. - The house was very clean and comfortable. Thick stone walls meant that it stayed very cool in hot weather. - You can do a couple of hikes right from the house without having to drive

- We were charged 30 euros in cash for bringing our dog (10 euro per night). We were not told in advance. The host said "it says it on Booking" so I thought I must have missed it, but all it says on the T&Cs is "additional charges may apply". If it was a couple of euros I wouldn't care about not being warned in advance but 30 euros should have been disclosed. Felt like a bit of a nasty surprise at the end of our stay. - The town has definitely seen better days, there are quite a few closed restaurants and dilapidated hotels. Have to walk 25 mins or drive to the nearest restaurants and shops.

Had a fabulous time at this property, it was a perfect location for us. Well equipped for a week stay and perfectly comfortable.

Clean and meticulously well kitted out. Host was very helpful and wanted to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Lovely old part of the town which we didn't venture round as much as we could have done. Fantastic amount of local information provided. Lovely old characterful house.

Nothing major, but if I was going to comment, I would say the following. As it's an old part of town, the roads and access to the house are very narrow. We had a Jeep which meant we had to be really careful. The spiral staircase was quite narrow.
