"We went to visit the observatory and it was very convenient for that"

Found it a little cold The smell from the oil leak was a bit stronger than expected Often run out of hot water for shower & bath maybe we’re just not used to that system

The place is lovely and clean! The scenes around Newcastleton are breathtaking. The host is very communicative and kind.

The phone service is horrible but it's not something that you can blame the host for. The providers have abandoned this place.

"Lovely place at the Scottish-English border."

The Old Bakehouse is a lovely renovated location. Richard, the host, is very friendly. The house has all facilities needed for happy holidays. For chilly evenings there is a fireplace. Shopping is around the corner. A lot of hiking routes are starting near the house. All in all Newcastleton is a friendly little town. Kielder forest is near, to Carlisle it is a half an hour drive..
