Contemporary Highland House close to town and Ben Nevis

I am struggling to find something positive about this property - it was clean.

The owner blatantly misrepresented this property. I booked this property as it it was the only one in the area with 2 bathrooms. On arrival I found it had one VERY small bathroom (that was virtually a wet room ) and a second toilet. I immediately rang the owner and asked why she had been dishonest about the property on booking.com - her response was that the property had a second toilet. A toilet is not a bathroom! I requested a refund as the property was misrepresented. She said she would need to contact booking.com and I never heard from her again. I rang booking.com to lodge a complaint and within about 15 minutes the ad for this property had been rectified on booking.com, showing it with one bathroom. I left the property and Booking.com tried for several days to arrange a refund for me but the owner did not answer any calls or emails. This property states it has lake views - yes if you stand out on the road. There is a fireplace but there wasn't any wood. It was snowing when we arrived and the house was freezing - none of the heaters appeared to work. I have just checked the current ad for this property and it has been changed again to say it has 2 bathrooms - why is this owner allowed to continue with this dishonesty???

The house was spacious, amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc) as described, heating adjustable. It was a short 15 minute walk from town center, not the end of the world.

The shower was a pain to use... the bathroom is tiny and the whole bathing process with small kids became an ordeal. I think I underestimated the size based on the photos. Checkout.... It was stated when I did the booking that checkout was at 10:00. No problem. Then we got I think 3 more reminders of how we must abide by the 10am sharp checkout, plus it was stated in all caps on the white board in the kitchen. Our car was packed and loaded by 09:45, we did one last round of checking on things and were truly out the door by 09:59. We futzed in the car for another 5 minutes or so before we started our onward journey and there was no sign of the foretold cleaning person showing up... so really, it felt like they were stressing us for nothing.

Great property, awesome host -- had thought it was in a more walkable location, but that was my lack of attention to detail :-) Gorgeous views in the morning with fog streaming across the distant hills.

We had 4 people and it was a bit crowded for the space.

Clean, comfortable accommodation, well laid out, everything you need is there. Nice, private outdoor space if weather is nice

Main negative was the tea towels, they smelt musty, may have been put away damp, had to wash them before use. Shower thermostat also sticking so hard to regulate water temperature.

Bright and spacious property

The house was advertised as having 2 bathrooms - in fact it had 1 wet room and 1 toilet - if this had been the description we probably would not have stayed at the property. With regard to the location, it was not far from the centre but it was an extremely steep climb up to the property.
