Wild Escape

EasyJet communication,easy handling

Having the wild animals on our porch every day (and night), the airconditioning as it was quite hot, the braai outside ! in principle everything was there to accomodate our family and have a good time !

nothing to do with Wild Escape itself but in general we were quite surprised by the load-shedding, we knew it existed but did not realize what it meant until we were there and experienced it, having electricity on a schedule was something to get used too/reackon with.. There was a problem with the sewage of the showers, after reporting it our host André immediately took action but it proved to difficult a problem to solve during our stay, we minimised our time in the shower which is already advised since water is scarse anyway.. Some furniture looked a bit dated, but everything you need is there !

No bath in the house.

It was an amazing stay, with wild animals in the back yard. We used the braai (with curious animals watching us while we cooked). The owners are very nice and helpful. The location is conveninet for safaris into the Kruger, as the driver collected us at the house doorsteps

Be aware that there is no backup for loadshedding

The various animals that came to visit was great.

Taking the time to read all previous reviews on the property it is noted that many of the issues remain unchanged, such as wifi issues, water drainage problems in showers and some doors that don't close properly. The cleaning service company could also have done a better job for new guests as we were welcomed with an empty Savannah bottle on the floor next to the verandah and plenty of cigarette butts all over.

The wild that is at your front door! Even a giraffe. Every room has its own bathroom. However no bath, only showers. We prefer showers, but if you have a young child that you want to bathe it is a problem. This is a nice house in the wild with all the necessities. It is also walking distance from the river. Despite phase 6 loadshedding we enjoyed our stay. A nice fire helped with this. You could also see the stars better without all the lights.

The entrance road to the house, especially if you have a trailer, can be made smoother.
