Quinta do Pico

Very large home and gardens. Beautiful view on quiet nights, shutters to block light for sleeping, plenty of room to spread out. Host gave many great ideas of local places to visit, eat...responded quickly even from another continent and has a groundskeeper for any needs.

A few items weren't working- grill, dryer. Host was very nice and easy to communicate with so I'm sure these will be fixed for the next stay and honestly who can complain when you're in the azores!

The room, kitchen, and bath was lovely and perfect for me. The WiFi and the A/C worked great. The yard is semi-private (just sharing with other guests staying in the other parts of the house) and the garden is fun to walk through. I picked an orange and enjoyed it after washing it in the kitchen. I talked to the host on the phone and he was very friendly and helpful, giving me tips for where to go on the island. The place is easy enough to get to by car although you might have to parallel park on the street if it’s busy. I would definitely recommend this place and I’d visit again!

Parking is available on the street but sometimes it’s busy. I was always able to find parking, although sometimes there was a very short walk.

Everything was just perfect. The terrace and a view on a banana plantation from the room adds a cherry on the cake :)

Nothing.

The studio was very clean and comfortable, complete with everything you need to have a nice vacation. A very beautiful garden in frojt of it was great for breakfast the morning and the host gave us very nice tips of traditional restaurants. Definitely will come back here if coming back to San Miguel.

The location was not amazing, but is the only thing that we were not super happy with. Don't get me wrong, is not a bad place.

We (4 people) stayed for one week and absolutely loved it. It is a very cozy house and we felt home immediately. It has everything you need in case you want to cook at home and you can even do your laundry. We were welcomed at the house and given an introduction. Communication with the host was always smooth, the hosts replied immediately to any question we had. The terrace is a highlight, very spacious with ocean view (beautiful sunsets). For those who need to work they can use the small upstair space, cozy with sofa, desk and office chair. The house is even better than it looks on the photos. Ponta Delgada is easily reachable by car within 10 minutes. The neighbourhood was quiet too at night, which I appreciated. Big thank you to the hosts!

There is only one bathroom in the house (it's a very spacious one though, with a pre-room with an extra sink). We were aware of it at the time of booking, so all good. But for 4 people (2 couples), it can be a bit inconvenient at times, however totally manageable.
