Azaleas Guest House

It was our second stay at Azaleas and it proved their consistent commitment to hospitality. We were welcomed with a basketful of treats from the Azores.We also requested an early arrival and it was okayed! To put things over the top a requested charcoal grill was provided! We feel like it was our home away from home!

There is nothing to dislike.

Sehr schönes Haus. Top ausgestattet. Begrüßungskorb mit Essen stand im Haus. Duschgel, Gewürze, Öl, alles was man benötigt vorhanden. Sehr gute Betten.

In einem Bad hat es etwas nach Abfluss gerochen.

Very nice, well equipped house, has everything you need (great to have extra towels), convenient location. Every bedroom has an outside sitting area. Great place to stay!

Bathroom ventilation could be better.

Logement très bien équipé et spacieux Litterie confortable Panier d'accueil laissé à l'entrée avec du pain, de l'eau, des confitures, du lait ! Bon emplacement géographique pour visiter l'île !

This really has been one of the nicest apartment rentals I've ever stayed in, congratulations to the hosts, who are evidently very professional. It's well-equipped with nice touches, the self-check-in is easy, the kitchen (with a nice welcome basket!) is well-stacked. Plus it's conveniently located for both Furnas and Ponta Delgada. I'd happily stay again!

Los anfitriones fueron súper atentos, la comunicación con ellos rápida y fluida. Tuvieron el detalle de conseguir un exprimidor para nosotras y de dejar una cesta con comida, fruta, bollería, leche y refrescos. ¡Un trato de 10! Respecto a la construcción, se trata de una casa tradicional, con ampliación, rehabilitada con buen criterio y sensibilidad. Los espacios interiores son muy amplios y cuenta incluso con un cuarto de lavado-planchado. Tiene secadora, lo cual viene muy bien en una isla donde la humedad es una compañera más del viaje. Las camas son comodísimas. Todo está muy nuevo o muy bien cuidado; los electrodomésticos son de buena calidad y nuevos. Está muy bien surtida y equipada. El jardín, con dos patios amueblados tienen el tamaño perfecto para disfrutar del exterior y cuentan con mesas, sillones e incluso una ducha exterior. Otro punto a favor es que tiene plaza de aparcamiento dentro de la finca; en la isla, incluso en los pueblos hay gran cantidad de coches, las calles son estrechas y hay muy poco espacio para aparcar. La ubicación de Azaleas Guest House es muy funcional porque está a 2 minutos en coche de un enlace con la vía rápida. Y el pueblo, Ribeira Cha, es muy tranquilo; se descansa fenomenal después de las caminatas por la isla. Repetiría sin dudarlo si volviera a San Miguel y la recomendaré convencida de que quien se aloje en ella estará muy a gusto y se sentirá como en casa.

Absolutamente nada

Feels very private, has everything you may need (except a chopping board?!, very clean, well organized we loved the location, quiet and away from the main road, close to two lovely beaches and well managed / maintained. Oh - good water pressure on the showers! Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, excellent laundry facilities. Very kid - friendly. Good firm beds! We were very impressed.

We couldn’t make the bedrooms ‘fully blackout’ for the kids to sleep before it got dark outside; there was a check-in process hiccup; some small details (like a sink that didn’t drain so well and a loo that sometimes didn’t stop flushing, a bit of a tricky driveway for off-street parking and a lack of a dishwasher all which we look past but would have made this a 10- this place is a really really great option that we would recommend to others.

Outdoor space and welcome basket. Also the extra towels were great too.

Air conditioner in living room started to beep all the time. Also the evening it rained, water leaked from the light in the ceiling of the hallway. A 2nd outdoor towel would have been nice too.

Wonderful place to stay in Azores! The house is very nice, all you need for the comfortable stay is there, also a location is really good.
