The Sequoia Hut!

The hut was perfect for 2 people, very well appointed and clean with a well supplied kitchen and bathroom. We had plenty of space to store our luggage and groceries, sleep, eat, read, and wash up comfortably. Getting in and out of the hut was easy with the instructions provided and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The temperature control was great (we love the sound of air conditioning units at night because it's like white noise to us, but if you're the type that prefers absolute silence while you sleep you may want to turn it off at night or bring your earplugs). The support staff were friendly and willing to help with things when we needed it. Extra touches we especially liked: the DVD collection and TV screen, the cold/hot water dispenser, and the extra blankets provided next to the bed. The location was good. It's a 5-8 minute drive to the Sequoia National Park entrance (Note: the entrance to the park is still a 40ish minute drive from the actual central location with all the main attractions, slower if you want to enjoy the views. I HIGHLY recommend pre-booking the shuttle that will take you from the Three Rivers Historical Museum to the main Park area. You can drive a few minutes from the Hut to the Museum, park there, and then the shuttle will take you up in the morning and back down again in the afternoon or evening.) It can be a bit tricky to spot at night, so I recommend trying to time your arrivals before sundown!

The air con was so loud. Bring ear plugs!

Loved the privacy and the BBQ and outside space which gave a great feeling of enjoying the outdoors on our own. Everything in the place had been thought through really well and we were impressed with how well equipped it was.

We didn't realise which was the heater and which unit was the air conditioning. A quick call to the host sorted this out but ir would have been good to have some instructions in the hut.

I loved the location as it was close to Sequoia National Park.
