Location fabulous, bedrooms generous, owner helpful. The beds had good mattresses that were firm which was excellent. Log burner was great.

1 toilet for a possible 8 guests isn't enough. The bathroom was very tired with a stained bath, a very tight toilet where you couldn't sit straight, a shower that had little power and briefly scolded me as it reached temperature and a leaking sink. No pillow protectors underneath the pillow cases. The kitchen is also quite tired but fairly well-equipped although baking trays could do with being replaced and there were only three blunt long knives and nothing that could peel a vegetable. The hot tub partially worked with only 2 jets working and only one very dim outside light so it was very difficult and rather dangerous to use in the darkness of winter. It would be great to have some sort of shelter over the hot tub as well for bad weather use. DVD player inside the television was only working occasionally. Overall this property has great potential but could do with modernising including the garden areas.
