Casa Rural Arguamul

It has the best beach in La Gomera and the best views. The owner Monse is an attentive and pleasant lady. The house is old, but large, spacious, and it has soul. The house has everything for a comfortable stay (probably without a washing machine). Keep in mind that the last 8 km is quite a challenging road for experienced and confident drivers.

Location, both in place and time... This is diamond in the rough. The setting for the stone is perfect, the drive down, and up, is all part of the joy.

Hot water is set too hot at the boiler.. so showers can suddenly change as you nudge the control, again, whilst turning... But I learnt by the end of the week...

Awesome and beautiful place for people that prefer quiet remote locations. Great ocean and mountain view, especially from the area with sun beds on the roof. Very friendly host, we got freshly locally harvested papaya and bananas on arrival :) . The road to the location is quite an adventure for experience drivers that enjoy driving.

Amazing views, walks, quiet place, wildness of the weather, nature, holidays at Aunt Anna's, herb garden, freshly picked papaya, ideal place to switch off, many areas to relax, a basket with wool and knitting needles to use in the living room. Anna is very friendly and the neighbors are very nice.

The oven is not working, we missed coffee machine. It's just a matter of taste, but we're not big fans of artificial flowers and grass.

It was a beautiful wild remote location in a tiny hamlet down. The house is lovely and the hosting was great. The beach is a 15min walk down the mountain. There are two beaches, Playa Guillama, which is down a very steep trail and Playa Arguamul down an easier track. This beach is best gone to at low tide. There are great rock pools you can swim in full of fish. A great setting in which to settle down. The road to the hamlet is a little wild but quite doable, but doesn't invite late night dinners out. Its a place to be in rather than a base to go elsewhere.

The place is so much better than on pictures. You got like six different terraces/hideouts, three kitchens and plenty of space. Beds are large and comfy. The hosue has everything, bring only clothes and food. The area? Best beach on whole Canary Islands so far. Expect to walk a 15 min to it, but it is worth it. Best scenery to be seen from the house.

A comfortable (but rural) place to stay in a very remote part of the island! If you like to be in touch with nature more than crowded beaches, this is a wonderful place!
