Monato Luxury Apartments

Poor wi-fi signal, but generally everything else was perfect!

Right on the beach. Spectacular turquoise water. Right above a great restaurant as well.

We booked a one bedroom apartment with a separate bedroom and large balcony with a tub as per the photo. We were put in the center apartment which is a smaller studio apartment.

The place is exactly as it looks in the photos - 20-30 meters from the beach, with an incredible view of the beautiful sunsets and the sea. The food in the restaurant is very tasty, there was nothing we didn't like on the menu. In addition again is the view of the beautiful sunsets during dinner. Beach umbrellas and sunbeds are provided and included in the price, which was an added convenience.

Breakfast was the same every day, the choice was limited to omelette and fried eggs. We were accommodated in the middle studio, the terrace of which is not shown in the pictures, it is small unlike the others, without a permanent roof and it was very hot during the day. The parking lot was very small.

The staff of the hotel was very polite, friendly and helpful, great customer service indeed! The room was comfortable with the terrace and a great sea view. Highly recommended!

Monato is right on the beach ( well a little dirt track separates it). You show a card and you get your sunbed on the frontline of the beach - with a cool little safe to store your phone etc. The room was bright ,airey and was modern. The bathroom hadn’t been updated but was fine. The bed was comfy and the views amazing. There is an iron /board , hairdryer. The restaurant was very good. We are ate at night once and the good was good ,price not too expensive. The staff were really friendly and attentive.

1. Beach beds - I can imagine in really busy times you may have to get up early to get your bed as they aren’t reserved for guests - so you may end up not getting it as the beach gets busy. I think they should reserve them for guests. 2.There was nothing at night open. During the day there are beach bars ( quite fancy ) and two awful places to eat at the far end of the beach. We didn’t plan on hiring a car but did after one day as there is no way other than a taxi to get out of Kathisma Beach. 3.There was no hot water in the morning and if you didn’t get an early evening shower same thing. The solar system just doesn’t have enough capacity 4.Breakfast - very disappointing! Limited choice. The choice was omelette , or eggs ( I asked for scrambled, boiled - no only fried ) ,bread and jam and a small plate of fruit. A choice would not involve much - I suggest offering Greek yoghurt as well as muesli - a lot of people can’t eat eggs. 5. The room was only cleaned every 3 days - I’m ok with this but for a hotel that has luxury in its name? 6. The need to hire a car - we are glad we did but we booked here because the reviews indicated there would be more places to eat and have a drink at night. I probably would’ve stayed nearer Agios Nikitas. 7. The extractor vent for the kitchen was right outside our bathroom window so noisey and smelly. We had to close the window.

The breakfast was not as good as it was the last time we stayed there. The location is amazing, and the staff is very friendly and polite!
