Penny Black Cottage

Beautiful property, very easy to find and park right outside. Museums literally 5 minutes walk away, with Ironbridge 10/15 walk to the centre. Both bedrooms have en suites and very comfortable. Downstairs layout is very nice. The log burner is a lovely extra.

Stunning renovated cottage, all rooms were beautiful, lovely kitchen, nice comfortable beds, great location for a 20 minute walk into Ironbridge. Beautifully decorated, clear to see a lot of hard work has gone into it

One toilet flush played up and a couple of dodgy door handles, but overall, this is a fab cottage, would definitely recommend and stay here again

Beautiful cosy luxury cottage

Electric went off on the Second night sadly for a few hours but we loved our stay just a shake as we were enjoying some music and drinks

The cottage is a beautiful little haven of peace and comfort that has obviously been a labour of love for all those involved. Clean and comfortable don't begin to describe the experience. It has a very 'high end' feel to everything about it. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are next level! Great pressured shower and a lovely free standing roll top bath. The communication and instructions beforehand were spot on - entry instructions were clear and directions to cottage were very good. The cottage for 4 people is very spacious, comfortable and functional. The area is lovely and we did a small walk down to Ironbridge which is a delightful village. All in all, a brilliant little hidden gem of a cottage in a beautiful setting.

Having to leave at the end of the weekend! Not criticism but just observations: access to cottage is via a number of stone steps, and the stairs to the bedrooms feel a little steep, so may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations. I got confused with the bin instructions, and put all our rubbish into the wheely bin at the top of the steps behind the gate, not realizing that the recycling wheely bin was on the roadside outside of the property (apologies). A couple of bulbs need replacing, there were no dish washer tablets for the dishwasher and the door handle on the inside of the master bathroom needs a little attention - but these are very, very minor matters.

The cottage was perfect and so was location, just a short walk to Ironbridge. Was a shame that we went during a storm but on a positive note as soon as we lit the log burner we got nice and cosy and didn't really care as house was stunning. We will visit again spring/summer time once weather better ha ha

Such a warm welcoming cottage. We arrived in the dark and it was so lovely that lights were on inside which was so welcoming. The cottage was warm on arrival and smelled nice. The location was great for Ironbridge - an easy walk. Parking was on the road right outside the house which was easy and never a problem. The log burner was a real bonus and a great feature. We loved the little quirks within the house.

The house sleeps 4 but there were only 3 mugs for a pot of tea and the drinking glasses were a bit lacking. One of the bedside cabinets’ legs fell off (being picky but easy to sort)

Loved the cottage. The finish was impeccable. Beautiful bedrooms and ensuites in both was a lovely touch. Found the lounge layout not very convenient for watching TV but we mainly played games in the kitchen anyway. Overall very impressive.
