Good cottage with allfavilitiesfor a weekend

The cottage had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. It was well renovated, clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished giving us a most enjoyable break. It was within easy reach of Ironbridge and all the surrounding historical locations we wanted to visit.

Lovely home. Beds super comfy. Plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen. It was perfect for what we wanted. The place is a credit to the owners, well looked after and spotless.

in a quite area , a fifteen minute walk into Ironbridge.

it could have been cleaner , in the master bedroom the bed head was full of grey dust which we had to clean ourselfs because the family member suffers with asthma , the windows in the other bedroom were very dirty having full palm prints all over the glass and the toilet brush was terrible. The living room area had a faint smell of dog.

Location and style of house. Social kitchen, courtyard. Board games. Linen and bedroom/bathroom facilities were all great.

We stayed in a similar house in the same area which had more home-from-home kitchen items such as airtight food containers for packed lunches/days out and popular condiments to reduce the amount of food needed. Penny Black could help families by including these. Additional fold away or beanbag seating in the lounge would also help. I would advise guests to bring a HDMI to USBC or similar cable to hook up your iPad/Apple box or Android device to the TV to watch your favourite downloads/movies etc.

Beutifully restored little cottage, such attention to detail, the leather luggage chest of draws, the lighting, onsuites in both bedrooms, walk in shower and deep bath tub (wish I had time to use) being able to be in nature with the morden twist, very comfy and welcoming. Loved being able to walk into the kitchen from the front door. This is the perfect little getaway from the city to be able to relax and unwind, it has all the elements needed to be in nature, deep bathtub, fireplace with real wood, greenery all aorund and great light from the bedrooms.

My only wish was that I was able to use this cottage to its full advantage! Next time I will be booking for pleasure and not just for work!

Absolutely perfect . just what we needed for a weekend away , clean and tidy and perfect location for dog walking .

Nothing to dislike .

Lovely cosy comfortable cottage. We really enjoyed our stay. There is so much to see in the area and the walks are beautiful. The museums are good and interesting, we bought the pass plus which admits to all the sites with 10% discount in the shops and cafes, and lasts 12 months so is very good value. We walked everywhere the cars didn’t move for 4 days. Parking was easy on the street in front of the cottage. Would recommend/ book again

Just a few little niggles stopped us giving it totally full marks: There was only one toilet roll in each toilet; we had a scourer but no dishcloth; the dishwasher was out of order; the bathrooms are lovely but suggest putting a hook on the back of the door or somewhere to hang clothes or dressing gown; the big bathroom walk-in shower is fab but another lower/handheld head so you don’t have to wet your hair would be a great addition, and the bathtub is great but doesn’t have a shower attachment so take a jug to rinse if you want to wash your hair in the bath. Lastly, an additional towel rail in there would be advisable. Please do not be put off from staying here! these are merely our suggestions to make everything perfect
