Lake View Okareka - Lake Okareka Holiday Home

This was such a lovely, spacious property only a couple minutes walk from the lake. It was easily walkable with my 2 and 3 year old. The kids absolutely loved the books and toys! The photos really don’t do it justice. We really enjoyed our stay!

It’s such a pity there is no where to put the rubbish once the small inside bins are filled (and no instructions on this either). With the property being able to accommodate the number of people that it does, the small inside bins get filled very quickly. There were quite a lot of flies inside when we arrived and I do wonder if this is because there isn’t an exterior bin to put household rubbish.

Amenities, location, cleanliness, very comfortable beds, modern

Plenty of space for 3 couples each with their own bathroom and large kitchen, lounging area. Great views, and great showers. BBQ was good to have the use of. Imagine it would be magic in summertime.

would be good to know in advance what type of coffee machine was there so guest could bring the correct type with them ie beans or capsules. It required beans which we went out and purchased for our second morning.

Property has a lot of communal spaces great for large groups. It rained the whole time we stayed but there was heaps fo room for everyone to have their own space. Well equipped kitchen. Washing machine but no dryer. Lots of books for adults and kids. Toy box for kids. Was a highchair. Robes provided in wardrobes which were perfect for the weather we had. Nice fire that heated space easily. Very clean and well presented property.

Wrong code for lock box was sent. Was a bit of a pain when waiting in rain with young kids for this to get sorted.
