Casa dos Ouriços

Todo. Muy buena ubicación para hacer excursiones en coche y también para ir andando al centro monumental. La casa es cómoda y muy bien equipada. Muchos detalles de bienvenida nos encontramos (bizcocho, zumo, vino, leche, café...) El coche queda en el interior, en un impresionante jardín de 2.000 m2; nuestro perrito disfrutó mucho en él, hay algunos gatos pero en nuestro caso no hubo problema porque se relaciona perfectamente con ellos y convivían muy bien. Un gran porche con barbacoa, mesa, hamacas, etc. Aunque no pudimos ver ninguna noche a los erizos que viven en el jardín, sí cada mañana los innumerables pájaros y tórtolas que vienen a comer y beber agua. Mención especial para Fernando Santos, el anfitrión, que se desvive porque la estancia sea perfecta. En el recuerdo nos quedará las largas charlas en el jardín de cualquier tema con Fernando.Él vive al lado y para nosotros no ha sido un obstáculo sino, al contrario, un beneficio. Es un gran amante de los animales y gestiona una asociación con refugio para perros y gatos (ALAAR).

Nada negativo en nuestro caso.

A casa estava impecável e era muito bonita. Tinha todas as comodidades e o Sr. Fernando inclusive deixou-nos uns miminhos de boas vindas, como cápsulas de café, temperos, fruta, água, vinho, leite, pão de ló... Tudo o que podíamos precisar. Levamos 3 gatos connosco e os 3 adoraram a casa. O jardim estava muito bem cuidado. O barbecue é muito bom. Fica perto de tudo, desde a piscina e a praia fluvial aos jardins, aos diversos supermercados e ao centro da vila. Foi tudo acessível a pé. O sr. Fernando, dono da casa, foi 5 estrelas. Muito prestável e hospitaleiro. A casa inclusive tem um livrinho de informações com alguns itinerários para sítios nas redondezas a visitar, como Viana do Castelo, Guimarães, etc. Uma estadia que um dia esperamos repetir.

The house is equipped like a real home, it has everything you need, including dishwasher, washing machine and a good oven. We particularly appreciated the heater in the bathroom, as the weather was quite rainy and cold at the beginning of our stay. There is safe parking and the house is within comfortable walking distance to Ponte de Lima with restaurants and shops. Fernando is a kind host and we very much enjoyed the beautiful garden, the orange trees and the lovely cats.

If you are a light sleeper, the traffic may disturb you in the early morning. We like to sleep with the bedroom window open and it was no problem with ear plugs.

The owner is so kind and gracious! The location is great. Easy to walk into town. Also great central location for both coastal and national park activities.

Our stay at Casa dos Ouricos was fantastic! Our host, Fernando, was so welcoming and generous with his time and attention. We had the pleasure of a tour of his garden, straight away. The ability to walk everywhere in Ponte de Lima made everything so easy. The views of the Rio Lima were so beautiful. Sunset was breathtaking. We enjoyed Letraria - a small brewey & taberna porta vermilhu! We were easily able to cook and do our laundry. The yard & garden provided a sense of calm & tasty delights. We were welcomed with a cake, bottle of wine & some essentials, which was much appreciated. We recommend this place wholeheartedly!

Nothing was not to our liking.

Fernando was very kind and attentive. Great host. Lovely garden and place to chill.

No inside place to dry clothes and no baking tray but generally v good

Location and space were fabulous and hosts so very welcoming - gifting us with vinho verde and easter bread too - delicious. Their warmth and hospitality were beyond and above.

The property was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Walking distance to the bridge and centre of Ponte de Lima. Absolutely beautiful garden, perfect relaxing in the sunshine. Best of all, the hosts were accommodating, genuinely, warm and friendly; they did everything they could to ensure a comfortable stay. Fernando especially, thank you for your kind hospitality. We will definitely stay again when canoeing next brings us to Ponte de Lima.
