Location ideal. Great that it had parking and ground floor very comfortable.

Mattress topper made bed far too warm and some of the double beds too small for two people. Because one bathroom was an ensuite, the other three rooms had to share one bathroom.

Property was nice and clean.

All the cutlery and chinaware was dirty and needed to be cleaned before using. The beds were rather uncomfortable.

House was spacious, well equipped and clean. Owner was quick to respond to questions.

Rooms

Th kitchen was very well stocked with equipment, crockery and cutlery plus the always needed dishwasher. There was also a herb and spice rack and other bits and bobs useful if you were planning to cook. It was a very sociable set up with open plan kitchen dining and seating area.

When we arrived there was 1 towel on each double bed. in total 4 towels. When I asked for more I was told as there was 4 people staying it was enough. They were not large bath towels just very thin and the next size up from a hand towel. I told the host we had 2 more people arriving the following day and she said we only booked for 4 and therefore there was an extra charge of £80. Quite steep for a couple of extra towels!! Which I had to pay direct to her by PayPal - as this was all for an event related to the death of my mother I just paid it and some towels did come. 1 more of the same size as the others and 4 or 5 hand towels. We are not overly large people but this seemed very mean. In actual fact my other guests brought their own towels anyway which was great. When I book a house I expect to have booked the whole house and not be charged extra in that way - 4 people could have sleep in 4 beds so it can't be the bedding. Although the host was pleasant I did not like the immediate demand for more money. The house was lovely and perfect location for the Celebration of my Mother's Life but it did feel a little tainted by this issue.

Size for the number of guests

Crockery chipped. Untidy garden especially the table. Main bathroom shower difficult to use, needed a viable connection for the shower head.
