everything was really clean, welcome gift of local products, the owner was helpful when we had a problem, jacuzzi worked very well, peaceful garden, swing chair in the living room, good location 10 minutes from Ponta Delgada. Not far from the sea

narrow entrance for car parking on the yard (but it is possible to park on the opposite side of the road)

"Great central base."

Plenty of room for our family of 3. All necessary equipment you would need is provided. Host attentive and replies quickly to any questions. Beds very comfortable. Very convenient location as a base to explore all parts of the island, and only 11 minutes drive from airport. Spacious garden. Private parking is available but very narrow to get to so you need to be very confident in sizing the car, but there is street parking outside as well. Use of laundry facilities was great as we had a long stay. Jacuzzi is a nice option to have.

The house is on a main road in which cars go by very quickly. If you have a small child, as we did, this was a bit of a worry. Bin facilities outside were already full when we arrived, bin company didn't take the rubbish when left out so it was overflowing until the next collection, and cleaners only added to it rather than took it away (including recycling items). A bigger bin, or alternative arrangements for emptying would be advised for the price of the rental. Damp smell, especially in kitchen cupboards which was a little off putting.
