Sea Shell House

Location was close to the beach and quiet and tranquil. Family really enjoyed our stay.

The room doors are noisy when opening and closing, maybe just need to put rubber on the doors to help with that. Shower head bit low and small but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Lovey airy light bedrooms and bathroom. Comfortable beds and good bottom fitted sheets. Enough cupboard space. Loved the dark blue soft blankets. Kitchen equipment super. Fantastic big outside deck with built in braai fireplace. Sufficient outside seating. Windows were cleaned the following day. We should not have had to ask. Washing rack. Adequate cushioning, comfortable lounge. Attractive mews that make up this area of pretty double storied thatch rooved houses. Pretty gardens. Fantastic perfect place to be if you like to walk near the sea, swim in the sea, and collect mussels. Don't forget the license from any Post Office. 5 minutes maximum to walk to the sea longer to the beach and lighthouse. On the lefthand side towards to beach is a post. There are amazing huge mussels to be found there at low tide, in the pools. Don't forget no undersized.

Arrived to no electricity. Hot fridge. No ice no apologies just blaming. Very dirty windows downstairs and upstairs. Insufficient toilet paper, hand towels, drying up cloths, dish washing liquid. And bin bags. Cracked and chipped crockery. Totally unacceptably.Dripping tap at kitchen sink. Permanently wet on floor, in Cutlery tray, and cupboard under sink. Toilet cistern not cutting water off, at any time. Owner has been advised previously. Obviously not concerned about comfort of paying guests. I paid a large sum of money.R23,000 plus. Therefore no excuse of lack of funds. I wonder when last the owner lived in this unit for a few days, which is the only way to know whether everything is operating properly. Oh and under the single bed legs, are large pieces of very unattractive, fraying bits of fabric. Easy to trip over. Bedside light in singles room, has unstable switch and ridiculously long extension cord. Bedside light in double bedroom was not working. Inadequate rails on staircase. Two small grabrails not enough. Blind in bathroom at small window is broken. When we realized that no one was going to come and clean the house, and asked it was organized swiftly. As were any shortages attended to. It was cleaned twice in the 16 nights we were there. THE ADDRESS WE WERE GIVEN WAS NOT CORRECT. 24. IT IS 12. There is no 24.

Everything was so easy to access. The facility is so beautiful inside and out. The whole place is spacious Fantastic place to stay for a family or friends

It was a lovely little cottage within walking distance of the beach and the park. We had a fish braai and a wonderful holiday with the family.

Felt like home. Was fully equipped for self catering with lovely indoor braai

I enjoyed the facilities where it was situated, it was a safe and secure place.

What I didn't like firstly was that the tv in the main room wasn't working and the room was dusty and the bedding wasn't comfortable, it lacked dishwasher.
