Sorry Tristan I have tried to reply to email regarding the marks on the bench. This is very disappointing as we only heated a pizza and definitely used the board beside the stove at no time did we put anything hot on the kitchen bench. I took a video when I arrived at the property to share with my family that stayed home and there are slight marks visiable on the bench if you look . I would never damage a property and never not own upto this!! The dark marks in the photo you sent were definitely not there when we left.

The property was in a great location and a comfortable stay and was what I was expecting going off the photos on your website.

There seemed to have been confusion when I booked the property as I have booked numerous properties through booking.com I always state how many people are staying and the ages of my children. For whatever reason the bookings for the children did not come through as I only found out later from the host after we were settled into the property that under no circumstances are children under 11 allowed to stay. He was extremely rude on the phone when I rang him straight away and kept telling me I tried to deceive him and didn’t let him know I had children with me. I completely understand there are different rules for different properties and I respect that if it had been made aware to me that children under 11 cannot stay at this property I would have not booked it and definitely would not have booked this tiny two bedroom property at a rate of $330 per night. I notified him also as the rules of the house were on the fridge that all visitors must be notified to him which I emailed him and told him that my parents were coming up for the day and he emailed back just two and just for the day! I felt like I was being treated like a liar I have never come across this before and any house I have hired. We checked out the next day and we weren’t able to stay with my son who is 10 I don’t won’t my money back as I understand we broke the house rules, however I will definitely be spending the word about my experience with this property and Hanmer Backpackers and booking.com

We loved everything about this cottage.Superclean lovely host.Yoko so helpful.Close to everything.Gorgeous backyard.Elecric fire.You name it.Second bedroom very small didnt bother us at all.Make sure you go to the hotpools.Discount for seniors $25/pp.

Great location, easy walk to shops and cafes.

Had a bit of trouble working out the TV controls... some basic instructions would have helped.
