The End Place

Great location, wonderful views. I enjoyed spending time with the alpacas, chickens and ducks. Some excellent national trust properties nearby too.

It was all delightful all of it top marks. Jules was a lovely lady and we clicked with her straightaway. It was a place you could call "The good life" with chickens and ducks! Views were amazing!

Super location. Very tastefully decorated. Well equipped, plus above all excellent hosts. And fresh eggs, we even learnt the names of the chickens responsible. And there was an alpaca welcoming committee (buy some carrots, slice them in thin disks, and make sure the bossy one doesn't get more than a fair share - friends for life) And it was soooo quiet - how unusual that predominately you can't hear any human racket at all.

The End Place is a perfect, peaceful place. The location is idyllic and beautiful. The hosts are very welcoming along with the alpacas and hens! Highly recommended and will definitely return.

There was a wonderful welcome basket upon arrival with local bread, jam, milk and butter which were delicious. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable of the area and provided so much guidance and suggestion on areas to visit, restaurants to go to and walks to do- we could have stayed for a month and not done them all! The property itself was wonderfully pretty and cosy for a cold week and we enjoyed every second of the view.

Nothing at all- even in moody weather it was a great stay.

Jules and Trevor were lovely, always available if needed but out of the way if not. The cottage is in the middle of the dales and the scenery was fabulous. The cottage was always warm and cosy even without the log burner on. Very quiet, the only sound was the birds and the wind.

The bed was a bit creaky, very comfortable, but creaky when either one turned over. The sofa was not too comfortable but the rest made up for this.

Perfect location in the middle of the countryside with stunning views from every window. It was so peaceful! The cottage has everything you could possibly need and is exceptionally clean! It is tastefully decorated, cosy yet elegant, and I loved the tableware and glasses (something I always notice!) The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The welcome basket is a lovely touch! We had the most amazing time and have already booked to go back!

We loved everything, a beautiful place in an exquisite location. It's a barn conversion that is gorgeous with every possible comfort. The bedroom is absolutely lovely and made us feel very pampered. In addition to all that, there was a lovely, thoughtful supply of wonderful food items left for us: wonderful fresh bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, eggs, homemade black current jam (our favorite), and a scrumptious baked treat. We loved seeing the curious alpacas. We highly recommend this very special place.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Because of the location, it would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Loved waking up in the morning to the rural sound of cows and sheep from the neighbouring farm. The view from the cottage is wonderful, very relaxing to sit on the patio taking it all in. The resident alpacas are so friendly and being able to feed them was a highlight. Our hosts were lovely, making us feel at home right away and gave us recommendations for places to eat when we met up with family. The cottage is well appointed too, we felt we had everything we needed for our stay. It has a big comfy bed..a big plus. We cannot wait until we can return for another stay.
