Thursdays Corner Tudor Cottage

Location was brilliant being almost in the centre of the town and great for walking straight from the door.

Thursday’s Corner was a beautiful truly Tudor cottage within a cottage! It was down the “high street” a bit, on the road to Little Stretton, which was perfect! Very quiet, very serene. Shops and restaurants still only 5 minute’s walk and the train only 15. The cottage was immaculate…spotless…and so well equipped, we were delighted! Amenities and facilities were spot on. Bed was very comfortable and bath facilities were excellent…the half bath/ laundry on the ground floor made a HUGE difference!! Li and Leigh were the perfect hosts and provided a very generous and unique welcome basket! The Pinot Grigio was delicious!!! The decor was very beautiful and artistically elegant. Li welcomed us personally and showed us about, not only explaining all the amenities etc. , but giving us great advice about the region. That made a huge difference! I ticked off the “pricey box?”…if I could figure out how to go back , I’d change it to value for money!!! The Shropshire Hills AOB have been on the list for a long time: staying at Thursday’s Corner made our visit the Perfect Haven! Home away from home! We shall return very soon! We really enjoyed our stay, a perfect location for so many walks from Church Stretton. Excellent access to the bus and train services, so easily get to Shrewsbury and nearby towns The cottage is very cosy, and warm and has all facilities needed for self catering. The host was welcoming and gave a lot of helpful information on the local area.

lovely laid out cozy lounge with wood burner - also supplied logs & welcome pack much appreciated very. Near to town to have takeaway fish & chips - good location for walks and train station - easy parking on the side road foc

Fantastic location. Super clean and well equipped.

Very tastefully decorated to reflect the age of the property (Tudor). A bit like a Tardis. Seemed much larger on the inside. Very convenient for the local buses to Shrewsbury and Ludlow (literally on the doorstep). Walks up the Long Mynd also from the doorstep.

Managed to singe a pie because we didn't understand that the oven heated from the top and the bottom at the same time. Unfortunately there was nowhere to sit outside.

Great location, although it is worth noting that there is no private parking at the property. We parked in the road beside the house. Property had all facilities necessary to support a one week visit. WiFi was fine. Shower was good.

Some areas inside needed a better clean - perhaps it is due a deep clean? Parking was on a road outside, so first come, first served, which is never ideal.
