Casa do Califórnia

Carlos is a brilliant host. He met us outside the apartment with keys, and he gave us loads of great tips about where to go, where to eat, what to do and so on. He also arranged car hire for us. Really couldn't have been better.

Nothing.

First of all, the host is exceptionally punctual, reliable, flexible, responsive, and hospitable. He helped us with renting a car, which was waiting for us at the airport. We were thankful for welcome snacks and coffee from the host, too. Second, the location of the house is at the ocean shore and a couple of minutes from a hypermarket. Third, the house has everything for life. We enjoyed making our meals with good quality kitchen appliances, including  nescafe coffee maker. The house is clean and cozy. And finally, it was a great stay in this nice place, surrounded by friendly people and gorgeous nature.

Nothing important

The place was cozy and the host was gracious even though we forgot to ask for an extra bed earlier. The location was great being almost on the beach and lots of free parking around. We likes staying in this town riberia grande more so than ponte degada if I had to be honest. It had a bigger variety of food and felt more down to earth. It's right in the middle of many scenic viewpoints as well. The shower had nice water pressure and was quite delightful after some of our hikes. All in all, very happy to have stopped by here.

There was only one heater which normally should be fine but is a bit chilly for the winter months. We felt we shared the place with some crawling friends but it seems like this is common for an island so atune to being one with nature, nothing scary or big though.

Beautiful house with an amazing garden! As it’s right on the beach, we loved walking out the backdoor with our surf boards or a glass of wine to watch the sunset. Carlos was very happy to help us out with everything and made our stay super comfortable.
