Somerset Country Escape - Luxury barns with hot tubs

The accommodation was beautiful and clean. The outside area was private and the hot tub was great

The bed in the smaller room was uncomfortable but the other bed was really comfortable

The pictures are VERY misleading!! We stayed in the Barn which there is only one picture on booking.com and it's the shabby looking hot tub pic. The Barn is actually on the farm land so you go through a rusty old gate and onto the farm next to the cow shed, so it stinks and was noisy. The other views are shocking,from the hot tub your looking at the rusty stinky cow shed and the smell is just vile! The other accommodations are much nicer and located so none of these issues etc.. I've stayed at dozens off these type of places and never felt so mislead. When we got there the owner walked through our place with his dirty stinky works books on and i had to clean up cow poo from the floor!! I was totally shocked and disgusted! The other side is other big metal sheds which is workshops with machinery etc., very noisy and dangerous if you have small children..the owner told me to move the car due to the machinery so that tells you your in the mix of it ect.. It was badly lit,wet and messy due to the farm activity ect.. The place inside was decent and quirky, i would highly recommend not staying in the barn but asking for one of the other places there.. Very expensive to be put in that invoriortment and most definitely not luxury!!! Also my partner is a vegetarian so would not have booked this if it was advertised correctly!!!!

We loved our stay here, the perfect New Years getaway trip with friends. Lovely setting and gorgeous cottage. Would definitely come back!
