"Perfect for a comfortable stay in Sau Miguel"

Staying in this home for our first trip to Sau Miguel was perfect. Thanks to Dirk & Silke for providing us with a wonderful experience and leaving us wanting more. The hosts are very responsive and great with communication. They have local people available to address any requirements if needed. The house provides spectacular views, a great place to relax after each day of sightseeing or just hang around the house all day if you have free time. Lots of outdoor space and different places to sit. We loved watching the farmers and the neighborly cows. They provide everything you need in the house to be self sufficient. Even some surprise gifts were provided to get us started instead of having to rush out to the store. A nice quiet neighborhood that is still close to everything. You can pretty much reach any part of the island in 90 minutes but there is so much packed in to see. Great for driving around and stopping every 2 minutes for another amazing view. We were lucky to discover the National Park only 5 minutes from the house. Definitely not to be missed with the spectacular waterfalls, old mill houses, walking trails and so much more. We spent 4 days here after being in Madeira for a week. We absolutely have to return to Sau Miguel for a longer stay and this home is our first choice for accommodations. Hopefully we will have more time to enjoy the sun room and the BBQ.
