Wonderful place, comfy and pleasant, presented by very hospitable hosts.

Wonderful host and property. The neighborhood is pleasant to walk around and you can have a nice hike to the castle from here. Local cafe, Restaurante Simples Sabores, had some of the best food we ate between Portugal and Spain.

Simple equipment, but sufficient. Very clean and tidy, exceptionally attentive landlord who responds promptly to inquiries. Located in a quiet residential area and close (1 km) to Palmela train station. Travel time to Lisbon by train approx. 50 min. There are plenty of grocery stores and parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

The host is very nice and the backyard space is great. The bathroom is very large. Although I didn’t use it, the kitchen is well appointed (although, there were a lot of leftover items in the pantry that looked fairly disgusting).

The bed is seriously uncomfortable. I could feel every spring in the mattress. Also, there is a little insulation, so it was very cold and very noisy. I could hear everything upstairs and outside. It is quiet neighborhood, except for the fact that there are many, many dogs, and they bark constantly. For long periods of time. I chose the house because of its proximity to a location I needed to visit. However, there is really nothing around. It is at least a 10-minute, uphill walk to a supermarket and a couple of restaurants. Also, there is no sitting area besides the desk in the hallway. There’s a bedroom, and the kitchen.
