Waterloo House Derry City Centre Townhouse

The location was perfect and the pool table was a nice touch

There wasn't anything to dislike about the property

The property is centrally located close to bars and restaurants and was clean enough. The check-in process was easy (the key was in a lock-box) and the host was responsive to messages. The father of the owner came to empty the bins before we left and he was friendly and approachable.

The street has a lot of cars parked on it most of the time so it was hard for us to fit our hire car on there. The bedrooms were quite sparsely decorated; it wasn't exactly cosy. There is only one shower room, which wouldn't really be adequate if the property was full of the maximum number of guests.

This property has its own kitchen, so we were able to cook a bit. It’s also an easy walk to all sorts restaurants, so we went out as well. We loved the location. Also, the owner was very responsive. I had to contact him multiple times and he got back to me immediately each time. My sons loved the pool table, and we figured out that one of my sons needed glasses because there was an eye chart over the pool table.

This house is big. I kept thinking it couldn’t be real because it was so big. The trouble is that it’s hard to clean and I can tell it had been smoked in, so it had a bit of a smell. Also, the street was incredibly loud on both Sunday and Monday nights. If you are very fussy about noise and cleanliness, then this place may not be for you. If, however, you need a little extra space and you like to walk to fun pubs, the n this place is great. Derry is delightful and this place is an excellent deal.
