Host & Stay - The Cottage, Marske

The location was great. The house was spacious and light.

Not so much a dislike just advice for the hosts - some doors and cupboard doors could use some WD40 as they were squeaky.

Beautiful spacious, cosy cottage with sea views. The beach is stunning. The properly is easy to access without a car. We got the train from Blackpool and the property is just a short walk from the train station. There’s boxes with paddle boards and buckets and spades on the beach for people to borrow which we thought was lovely. We took a walk down to Saltburn and spent the day exploring which was great and also took a trip to Redcar beach and amusements. There’s plenty of things to do and the cliff top walks are so beautiful. This trip was extremely good value for money, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

We love the property we stayed last year and wanted to return . The location is great if you are wanting quiet and peaceful , you can walk into saltburn and get the bus back if you wanted .

The only thing I would say is the back bedroom bed is really hard and not comfy

The location was fabulous, a sea view, perfect for a few days stay.

I think it could have cleaner. Some of the shelves and surfaces were dusty and there was sand in the living room when we arrived. There was no parking at the property but there was always room to park further up the road.

De rustige ligging aan het mooie strand, Ideaal voor wie rust, ruimte en natuur zoekt. Het dorpje is ook heel leuk en niet al te touristisch

De buurman die ons 2 weken lang getreiterd heeft. Wij konden onze auto niet kwijt doordat hij de helft van onze plek innam en na vriendelijk vragen ook niet van plan was om ons meer ruimte te geven. Volgens een andere buur deed hij dat bij alle gasten van de vakantiewoning. Dit aangegeven bij onze host, maar die heeft hier niet op gereageerd! Dit heeft onze vakantie redelijk verpest. Ondanks alle pluspunten aan deze vakantiewoning geen aanrader dus. Verder, geen vitrage/ gordijnen in de keuken. Wij wisten niet dat andere buren het recht van overpad hebben dmv een poort in de schutting. In een van de eerste dagen gedoucht en stond vrijwel zonder kleding in de keuken, toen er ineens iemand voorbij kwam en die keek ook nog naar binnen 🤢 De grote slaapkamer heeft witte lamellen, geen gordijnen. Echt een zee van licht, kwam dus moeilijk in slaap en werd daardoor ook weer heel vroeg wakker. Er was geen kapstok om jassen aan op te hangen

The only thing I would suggest is providing a bathmat as the bath is extremely slippery

Love the location of this property, close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.It is spacious and well equipped. The lounge furniture is perfect for an evening of relaxation after a day trip out. Beds and pillows are comfortable and bedding lovely and clean.

The lounge was dusty and there were a few dead flies on the windowsill on arrival. The double bedroom was dusty too. Provisions provided were limited in this property compared to other self catering properties. There was only one toilet roll which was wrapped and described as "Emergency toilet roll" for 4 people for 3 nights and there was a lack of cleaning products in the bathroom and kitchen.
