Podere La Cava

De goed uitgeruste en gezellige keuken vonden wij een pluspunt, evenals de verzorgde en authentieke inrichting. Ook het zwembad was top!

Ook al ligt het appartement in een mooie groene omgeving, we misten een vrij uitzicht op de heuvels en het stadje leek ons jammer genoeg vrij zielloos.

Reasonable location, parking and nice pool . Manager Irene was very helpful in so far as she could be.

Significant noise from people in above apartment, especially when walking up and down their internal stairs. It felt like we were inside a drum! So bad in fact I recorded the sounds. We didn't have a washing machine, we had one third of a washing machine. Also very misleading. It is poorly located so that one has to bend over completely to operate it and to make sure you don't hit your head on a steel beam. Very misleading. Kitchen was significantly incomplete: No toaster, No microwave, no cheese grater, (but we did have a rolling pin....as if you would want that on a holiday!) Plates etc were chipped, only 3 mugs, blunt knives and so on, Also, we were expected to separate rubbish into 4 categories......how many bins did they supply...... only one! Floor felt dirty, even to begin with. No change of linen in 9 days. Sheets did not fit beds properly. Hanging space was ridiculously small and difficult to use. And the aptmnt. was full of personal items, taking up the already limited space to put clothes, suitcases etc. Showers had absolutely no place to put soap or shampoo except on the floor. Windows leaked very badly during a storm to the point where we had to use all spare towels to soak up the water in our bedroom. Garden needed more care, grass around the pool was very long....finally mowed after we pointed this out to Irene.

The pool was fantastic and the host, Irene was so approachable and very fast to cater to our needs. Thank you Irene!

The mattresses in the master bedroom were rock solid so we swapped them with those in the spare room - much better. We stayed in Laura which was lovely but it would be so much better if there were sofas on the first floor (same level as kitchen) and chairs on the ground floor instead of the current set up.

- Serene location and beautiful nature all around - Beautiful old Tuscan house full of character and charm - The communication with Irene was perfect and she went above and beyond to help us out with any problem - The pool and common areas are in best shape and are constantly maintained by professionals

- The house is divided into 3 flats with separate entrances but the walls are thin and one can hear the neighbours. We were quiet but got complaints from our neighbours downstairs for being 'loud'. - The 'hosting family' is only managing the facility but they are not present and all the communication is with their representative, Irene. We wanted to mention this so anyone expecting a familiar experience a-la Agriturismo is not getting disappointed. - The kitchen is very small and is not extremely well equipped to prepare big meals (e.g. not even a full cutlery set for 4 people)
