Hillside Villa

Villa is just awesome! In real life looks even bigger than on pictures. Everything’s brand new, in a great condition, modern and stylish. 3 absolutely separate bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and big great living room + giant space outside. Many balconies and stuff. Pool was warm and clean, generally all villa is very clean! Additional thank you to hosts for all the details - there’s truly EVERYTHING you may need. Tea, coffee capsules, coffee machine, capsules for washing, tons of cutlery/pottery, pans, towels, whatsoever. All you need to cook, wash clothes, like fully live there! View is very beautiful too, location is great!

Everything was just perfect! The only thing I can mention, that 3rd bedroom doesn’t have a window, it’s not quite obvious from photos.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful & modern hillside villa. It is situated in a small town, in a quiet area on a hillside (hence the name ;)) The view from the terrace is breathtaking and never gets boring. The villa is big, bright, clean and has all the essential amenities (including a smoothie maker :)) On top of that it has private parking, a heated pool, outside shower and BBQ-room! The host Mandy was very helpful during our stay, answering any questions we had.

We did enjoy how the owner met us, it was a good fun. We had the whole place to ourselves. Beds were comfy and big. Super great thing - the washing machine and dryers for us, which helped through the whole stay and of course outside patio to cook ourselves food on fire. Many people said they struggle with garage, but you get used to it, as we also did. Also we have to add, that it's sad one of the bedrooms doesn't have windows to enjoy the view, but atleast it's very private. Also my friends didn't like the pool temperature, probably because of mixing weather which was kinda cold-warm, lots of wind, it could have been maybe five Celsius degrees warmer. But I think this problem is individual on every person, for me it was good, except last evening when our pool temperature somehow dropped in the evening.

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect - not far from several hiking routes, beach, forest, supermarket,... but quiet and relaxing. The heated pool and the view from the master bedroom upstairs were amazing!

We loved everything about the property! the pool was a bonus and we used it every day. The barbeque was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Amazing view from the property!

Great communication from Mandy before and during our stay and great to be met by Elvio on arrival for a quick tour of the villa. Villa was very clean and was very well stocked with everything we needed. Was better than we expected from the photos. Very happy with the location, was perfect for exploring the whole island and lovely to eat out in the harbour at Calheta in the evenings (can highly recommend the restaurant- Essencia do Atlantico). The kids really loved the heated pool and was great to have all towels provided including beach towels. The washing machine and tumble driers were very useful too. Only slight downside could be the access to the garage if you’re not a very confident driver as it’s a tight turn into the road on a steep hill but we didn’t have a problem once we got used to it after the first time. Overall we loved our stay and looked forward to returning to the villa after our trips out. Would highly recommend Hillside Villa to anyone thinking of booking a trip to Madeira, you won’t be disappointed!
