Weaver's Cottage @ Number 10

We booked a 3 night stay. We had some issues with the TV, washing machine, shower regulator & size of the bed. The access could pose an issue for many & parking not ideal with large cases. The terrace & outside of cottage was unkempt & requires some TLC. Communication with owners was good but we decided to leave after one night. Just not for us.

We struggled to find the property at first as the instructions were not that clear. The bed was uncomfortable and so we did not sleep well. We actually decided to leave a day early because of this. The sink in the bathroom is too small for use. The property is directly in front of a public footpath and so you get quite a bit of noise from people walking past. There are also renovations underway in a nearby property, which resulted in quite a bit of noise for the duration of our stay.

The view was exceptional. The directions to the cottage were comprehensive. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tourist info provided and access to our hosts was clearly available, if required.

Beautiful location high up in the town with lovely surroundings and a great view across the landscape. Spent ages watching swifts in the skies, so many of them! Cosy cottage that didn’t get too hot even in the height of summer, thank you for a peaceful and restful stay.

The front door was a little tricky to shut fully from the outside so having a key to lock the bottom as well as the top half of the door could be good for extra security, but we had no issues while there :) Inside, the only thing missing was shower gel! Other than this, a lovely well kitted out cottage.

You stay amidst the historic houses on the hillside with their beautiful gardens with lovely neighbours and visits from cats, the most authentic experience we've had on our trip.
