We are 4 ladies (60+) walking the Camino and we booked and paid weeks in advance for twin rooms. There are 2 lodges on site, one with one twin bedroom and one with 2 rooms - twin and double. We received a message on the morning of our arrival saying they had taken a last minute booking and a man would be staying in the double room. We were very uncomfortable with this and we would have cancelled our stay if we had had more notice. In the end we swapped lodges with the man and one lady slept on the sofa bed and one in the double bed in the 2 bedroom lodge. The owner said they rent out individual rooms - we were not aware. We did not see the owner at all and we did not have our Camino passport stamped. Such a shame as it is a lovely place but it was spoilt for us.

Lovely room in what was a share house arrangement. Description of room didn’t match the one we were given but still met our needs. Beautiful gardens. About a 10-20 minute walk to cafe/restaurant. Good breakfast provided.

These lodgings are in a quiet area just off the Caminho de Santiago and a bit out of town, with stunning sunset views and perfectly comfy furniture. The hostess also kindly welcomed us with a box of bakery goodies: just what we needed after a long days’ hike!

The outdoor space was beautifully landscaped, with a fabulous pool and being on the river was a real added bonus. The accommodation was simple but had very comfortable beds and was spotlessly clean. It had lovely views across the garden and surrounding countryside. The hosts, Eusébio and Ana, were excellent. Communication was great and they went out of their way when we arrived to make sure we were comfortable - even going and getting us some food from the local bakers as it was Sunday and all the local shops were shut. There are lots of interesting places to visit in the local area/region and the nearby coast is very beautiful.

The living area wasn't as comfortable as it could have been for our family of four with one just one sofa. Some softer lighting would have been good too.

Excellent new separate house, ideal for 4 people. Accomodation is perfect for families with children: there are a lot of separate spaces to relax, a big open space to play, a super pool, 2swings and above all 2 boats to paddle or row in the small (not deep) river behind the location - a lot to discover in this little paradise. We went on foot to the beach, 2 restaurants and backery, all within walking distance 15-30 minutes.
