Relaxing Mountain House Poljana in Lika

The hot tub was great (despite no instructions) and the garden great for a family visiting with children. The property was spotlessly clean and located off the main road meaning it was very quiet. It did feel that you were out in the countryside. The vision for the property is good , but perhaps needs to be marketed slightly differently.

The beds were very uncomfortable and maybe the worst that we have ever slept in. The mattresses were thin and the bedding had holes in it. There were only a few plugs available. One of the "bedrooms" was a half converted bathroom which still had tiles on the walls. Another bed was located in the hall way which all other bedrooms joined onto. The blinds were paper thin and did not keep the light out. There was limited facilities in the kitchen and although advertised there was no microwave. The location is advertised for 10 people, this is stretching it and is more suitable for around 5 or six people. The upstairs area felt very cramped. Be aware there is only one bathroom which smelt a little damp. A washing machine would add to this location, especially being a countryside / hiking area.

Top Location for relaxing. Everything was fine.

Place was so peacefull and quiet, relaxation was a guarantee! And jacuzzi under night sky was something to remember, even room has window in the roof and you can look at the stars while laying in bed. Host Jelena was very helpfull and available at any time for any question.

some bits are a bit tired and it felt like there was too many personal items there - there were lots of cooking bits in cupboard but coffee would have been nice - got tub nice but towels and robes could do with renewing

Everything was perfect. The owner, Jelena, is the best. She was there to welcome us, gave us a tour through the property and she was also there to say good-bye.

Lovely holiday house set into a peaceful area surrounded by greenery and nature. As there was just the two of us, we found it quite spacious and greatly equipped with all needed for a carefree stay- from basic cooking ingredients to a spacious hot-tub on the terrace. Our main goal was to find a property ideal for a quiet retreat, and House Poljana turned out to be a great solution for it.

Several minor improvements to be performed in order to become a perfect holiday gateway location, with the main one being related to cleanliness.

The house is situated in the middle of nowhere: large garden, quiet, calm and 20 minutes drive to the park. The house itself is nice with a big fireplace which was "on" upon arrival, the jacuzzi is a nice extra. For two / three people the house is large enough for more it is somewhat small.

It depends on what you expect: although there is a kitchen, it is not really suited for cooking: it is small, does not have a lot of equipment, and is partially outdated.

We really enjoyed the quiet
