Arnestown Country House

Location. Anne was very helpful and friendly.

It was a little cold.

Anne was a lovely host from the moment we arrived. She is a pleasure to deal with. The house was warm and comfy. It is a bit out of the town, which wasn't an issue for us at all as its only a small drive. She had even bought colouring books and colouring pencils for the kids, which she had tailored to my kids ages , which they loved, it was such a lovely touch. The phone reception and WiFi isn't great in the house (best in the green bedroom than any other rooms). It didn't bother us and I actually enjoyed switching off and being present with each other while there. I would definitely stay at Anne's again.

I can't think of anything that affected our stay negatively.

Lovely scenery. Photos of the house need upgrading.

Had to strip the bed linen off on our last day. Had to empty all the bins. The landlady came into the house when we were not there.

Very quiet surroundings. But most of the attractions were within driving distance. The house even had a washing machine so for long stays this is really convenient.

The beds were a bit disappointing. I'm 1.90 m tall and didn't fit in the beds. They were also narrow and my wife and I decided to sleep in separate beds after two uncomfortable nights, But this is probably also a personal preference. Our son slept very well and even wanted to take the bed home.
