Cosy cottage in picturesque Snowdonia with stunning views of the Moelwyn mountains

Everything we needed. Yes the top stairs are steep but we knew that when we booked. Central to a lot of walks which is what we wanted. Beautiful location ! Parking is tight but plenty of spaces and you can park in other areas and walk a bit. Neighbours were all freindly. All the everyday essentials milk, tea bags, coffee & biscuits. Local co-op and morrisons local a short walk away. Pubs near and a waterfall a minute walk away what more can you need ? It was a great stress free break with 2 bouncy dogs who thoroughly enjoyed it Thank you i will be coming back xx

De locatie is mooi voor de prachtige omgeving. Ook de faciliteiten van de benedenverdieping met de keuken en zitruimte waren fijn.

Het appartement is niet kindvriendelijk en het parkeren met de auto is zeer moeizaam. Voor het huis is het erg krap en in de avond zijn soms de plekken langs de straat bezet. Met een grote auto is het sowieso lastig rijden in de straat. Ook zijn de mooie uitzichten wel zichtbaar vanuit bepaalde plekken in het huis, maar is het zeker niet zo dat het huis een fijne plek is om van het uitzicht te genieten.

Cosy Cottage House itself is OK, very well equipped with utensils for cooking. Located in a narrow back road not too far from the center of town. To be noted 2 extremely steep stair cases with narrow steps, not recommended for “elderly” people. Parking is not just tricky it is a head ache, but this common in most towns in Wales. As regards to the stunning views, the owners forgot to mention the row of houses in front the windows blocking the view. We arrived on a Sunday, heating was not working, it was freezing cold. We phoned the owner twice, left a message, no call back, we sent emails, no replies. As a result we decided to find another place to stay on the second day after miserable cold night. We contacted booking.com and asked if we could get a compensation. Booking apparently eventually got hold of the owner who refused to refund at least the first 2 overnights. To this date the owner has not had the decency and politeness to contact us directly. We feel that upon arrival the owner or pers responsible should be reachable to troublshoot any problem or question. This was not the case. For your information Blaenau Ffestinog is a very run down town, no shops , shabby restaurants, 1 pub, 1 convenience store and a small Coop. This is by far the worst place where we stayed during our travels through Wales. It has also a bad reputation among Welsh people. We lost our rental money but we moved on to other nice places towards Snowdown and we dis love Wales and its lovely welcoming people

Fantastic picturesque location, warm, cosy, clean property with everything necessary available.

Parking was interesting around the narrow nearby streets, but we were able to find a good parking spot every day.

The property was in an ideal location for us, we came to Wales to hike Snowdon, visit the Mach Loop and also go to Zip World.

I don't often give ratings as I find a lot of places below par but this place was clean, well equipped, lots of space and the beds were super comfy (comfy beds are a big one for me and I often find poor quality mattresses but that wasn't the case here) All in all. Spot on ☺️
