Villa Margherita

The owner very helpfully accommodated our request for a later arrival due to late landing at Catania airport. The owner's colleague met us at the property and explained the facilities, rooms, all functions: well-equipped kitchen and utility room; foods already provided: cereal, pasta, fruit, yoghurt, milk, other food (delicious arancini), wine/beer/juice/water. Beautifully appointed villa. Plenty of furniture to put clothes in, hanging wardrobe, several WCs, showers/bathroom. Pool table room, outdoor tables and chairs, BBQ, swimming pool (chilly in April, but we went in anyway), lounge chairs and covered area. Grandchild loved the 3 tortoises in the grounds, in addition to the orange and lemon trees. A most friendly and helpful host with suggestions for town shops/restaurant, and other nearby things to do.

Very slight difficulty getting the car in through the security gate due to the narrow street. Definitely recommend reversing in to avoid a 7-point turn. Easier the third time!

Schönes großes Haus. Großer Pool. Alles fussläufig zu erreichen.

Wenn es kalt ist braucht das Haus etwas um aufzuwärmen. War aber kein Problem. Heizungen haben gut funktioniert.

Alles war wunderbar!

Fantastisk sted. Kan varmt anbefales. Virkelig lækkert hus tæt på den lokale by med gode indkøbsmuligheder, lokale caféer og restauranter samt ugentligt marked. Godt udgangspunkt for at besøge Noto, Cavagrande del Cassibile, Ortigia og strande indenfor 30 minutters kørsel.

My sisters and I stayed at this villa for three nights, and we absolutely loved it! We often stay in villas, so we know what to expect — but the hosts here truly went above and beyond. They surprised us with a generous selection of drinks and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Although we accidentally drove to the wrong location at first, the hosts kindly waited over two hours for us to arrive — their patience and hospitality were exceptional. They were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay and helped us with everything we needed. The villa itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for groups. All the bedrooms are a great size with comfortable beds, and there are around four bathrooms, so we never had to wait to get ready. The pool is huge and perfect for a refreshing morning swim, and we loved spending time together in the games room. When I return to Sicily, I’ll definitely be staying here again. I couldn’t recommend this villa more — it’s the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

The only areas I think could be improved are the exterior walls near the pool and the pool maintenance. The walls seem a bit weathered and could benefit from a fresh coat of paint to brighten up the space. I also wish the pool had been a bit cleaner, as it would’ve been more enjoyable to swim without having to move aside bugs and leaves. Other than that, everything else was absolutely fantastic — we truly loved our stay!

We werden op voorhand goed geïnformeerd hoe we het huis konden vinden en werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen een korte maar zeer duidelijke uitleg. Het huis was prachtig, nog mooier dan op foto's. De koelkast was gevuld en er stond een grote schaal heerlijk fruit, wat een aangename indruk gaf. De slaapkamers waren ruim, bedden super en de airco werkte prima. Alles was heel netjes. Ook een prachtige afgesloten tropische tuin met zalige plekken om te vertoeven. Ook het bezoek van de schildpadden en de buurtkatten werd geapprecieerd. Het zwembad was top en werd geregeld schoongemaakt, altijd na overleg met Francesca wanneer dit best paste voor ons. De ligging was top, ideaal om het zuidoosten van Sicilië te verkennen. Canicattini Bagni zelf is een heel charmant stadje, niet zo toeristisch, maar de locals waren heel vriendelijk. Alles was op loopafstand van Villa Margherita, supermarkt om de hoek, restaurantjes, gelateria,... Zeker een aanrader!🤩

Helemaal niks!

Tolles, grosses Haus mit schönem Garten und 10x5 Pool. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und die Übergabe beim Ein-und Auschecken verlief schnell und unkompliziert. Die 3 Schildkröten und die „Nachbarskatzen“ im Garten waren niedlich. Alle 3 Schlafzimmer im OG haben Klimaanlage, die wir im Juli auch genutzt haben. Im unteren Wohn- und Esszimmer wäre auch eine Klimatisierung möglich gewesen. Toll ist auch der fussläufige Supermarkt,Fischhändler und die nahen Cafés des süßen Örtchens. Francesca war bei allen Fragen via WhatsApp erreichbar, gab Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants und hat bei Problemen (Klimaanlage im Hauptschlafzimmer kühlte nicht) sofort einen Techniker besorgt, der die Anlage reparierte.

Alles toll! Einzig ein kleiner Tisch im Wohnzimmer hat etwas gefehlt.

We spent a wonderful holiday in July at this beautiful house in Canicattini Bagni. The house is spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for families with children. The garden is absolutely lovely, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings, and the private pool was a big hit with both adults and kids. A special surprise for the children were the three friendly turtles living in the garden — they were a delightful and unique attraction that the kids absolutely loved! The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Francesca, who looked after us during our stay, was always available and responsive to any request or issue. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with cold drinks in the fridge and delicious treats in the kitchen — a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Canicattini Bagni may be a small town, but it’s very charming and has everything you need — shops, restaurants, and bars — all within easy reach. It’s also a great base for exploring southeastern Sicily, including places like Noto, Syracuse, and the beautiful beaches nearby. We had a truly amazing time and will definitely come back!

Everything was ok

Uden sammenligning et helt fantastisk hus i et mindre turistet område. Både ude og inde er der kælet for detaljerne og vores familie på 6 personer oplevede 5 skønne dage med god plads til alle.. Køkkenet var veludstyret og meget imødekommende at værten havde fyldt køleskab med mad og drikkevarer til fri afbenyttelse. Huset har et lækkert poolområde og det var særligt hyggeligt med fritgående skildpadder i haven. Vi vil helt sikkert anbefale huset til andre
