Penny è stata carinissima sin dal primo momento, ci ha dato informazioni su dove andare e su cosa ci convenisse fare, non solo per mete turistiche ma, anche ad esempio dove fare la spesa o a quale farmacia andare. Veniva a pulire e sistemare la camera ogni giorno, se per sbaglio mi capitava di lasciare un piatto da lavare: ci pensava lei; più volte ci ha lasciato cosine in frigo: tra cui il cocomero, l'acqua o il cioccolato. Ci ha aiutati con i bagagli ed alla nostra partenza ci ha accompagnati alla macchina che ci avrebbe portati in aeroporto. Fortunatamente l'ultimo giorno abbiamo avuto modo di conoscerla un po' meglio ed ogni sua parola ci ha solo confermato la persona squisita che si è mostrata essere dal primo istante. Struttura super centrale (5 minuti dalla Chiesa principale di Emporeio e dalla stazione degli autobus), vicino al mare e vicino a Fira (luogo con più movida); posto tranquillo e con tante chicchette. Es war toll in einem traditionellen Haus zu wohnen, die Wohnung ist teilweise eine Höhle. Es hatte kleine Fenster und das gab einen feinen Luftzug, auch wenn es heiß war und wir haben Klimaanlage nicht benutzt Penny hat sich super um uns gekümmert

Everything!! Penny is an amazing host!! The location is perfect!! Very clean, large, cleaned every day with change of towels, sheets, etc etc. Availability for beach/pool towels which is really convenient and perfect if you want to stay at home!! Quiet area of ​​Santorini/Emporio but with all the services nearby!! We will definitely be back!!!

Penny, the host, is quite simply the most attentive host we have ever experienced. During our stay we were regularly treated to orange juice, fruit, salad, toasties (including buying special Gluten Free bread) - and a huge smile constantly. Penny even presented us with the most beautiful cakes on our friends' wedding anniversary. All of this was outside of what we had paid for or expected, and was very welcome and appreciated. Whilst we didn't use the pool for long periods it was great to pop into to cool down after a long day on the beach or out exploring Santorini. We were in the larger of the two apartments (our friends in the smaller) and it was spacious and with very good air conditioning (although not too hot even with the A/C off). There is a fridge and a mini-kitchenette which was ideal for breakfast. We also finished the night off on several occasions with 'drinks on the terrace' (aka a small, and very private, seating area with a couple of tables by the front door - great if you rent the whole house like we did).

It is what it says - a traditional house, so don't expect the height of luxury (we didn't), but it is comfortable, clean (and cleaned daily) and was something very different. Emporio is in the centre of the south of the island and so the best beaches are walkable within 30 minutes or so (find the back routes to Parissa and Parivolos to avoid the main roads) but the buses can be frustrating. They seem to just appear randomly and can sometimes take 10-20 minutes direct, depending on which direction, or can go on a magical mystery tour. All part of the experience though, and living in Emporio, with its very narrow Greek streets/paths and unexpected cafes/restaurants tucked away, makes it worthwhile. Santorini is very small (12miles by 6 miles max) so it's easy to explore all of the island - we hired 2 seater buggies (huge fun), used the bus, did some walks and enjoyed a beautiful Sunset Cruise, which was stunning. Make sure you visit Fira for cocktails overlooking one of the best views I've ever seen - breathtaking is understating it.

Penny was very friendly and helpful. She arranged our transport to and from the property and made us feel completely at home.

The best thing about this place is who's there making your stay so easy. Penny is the most welcoming, charming and attentive host we had in such a long time. She helped us from the first minute, transfers, car rental, tips for restaurants, main must-see areas in the island...she even provided us with beach towels during our whole stay as we forgot to pack ours! The room was just as expected, with all the necessary equipment you expect from a traditional house. No superfluous luxury. But comfortable, clean and homely. Emporio is definitely the place to be in Santorini. Super good communication with the rest of the island, even for public transport, and away from all the mass tourism that you will find at Fira or Oia, but yet lively and with plenty of options for food and other kinds of services. At the end a great place to stay and surely will recommend to anyone that visits Santorini to book here. We will definitely come back!!! PS: cat lovers will love it. ;)

Penny was very kind and the place was spotless! It was close to the bus stop and relatively easy to get around.

Amazing house in the center of the island with super friendly and helpful host. Great views and one step away from the old town of Emporio, tavernas and shops. Ms Penny helped us with transportation from the airport and renting a car. Highly recommended!
