Host & Stay - Laylands Yard

Great location within walking distance of the town and beach Comfortable beds and comfortable seating in the evening. Nice views from the house and very peaceful. Great fridge freezer.

Only one shower was working - I had specifically chosen a property with 2 bathrooms. Small bath towels and not enough hand towels. Some of the garden furniture needed repair. Local info book was out of date. Would have been nice if there was a visitors' book as when we travel we like to read the comments which usually have great recommendations for days out, where to eat etc etc.

The property matched up to its advert and its well deserved high reviews. We found it a perfect location for walking into wells itself and an ideal base for the surrounding areas

Exceptional location on the edge of town and the edge of the nature reserve, meaning you see wildlife from the window whilst having an easy walk to the shops. All the kitchen/utility features you need and nice cosy beds and living areas.

Some of the place is starting to look a little tired in places, e.g. blinds with broken slats, peeling paint, etc. And the hot water could do with turning down from the default setting of molten lava.

We had a lovely stay here, the house was big comfortable and had everything we needed! We stayed for my Mums 59th birthday there were 4 adults and 1 toddler, my son absolutely loved the holiday home with the steps in the garden and emergency torches in the bedrooms! We had a beautiful weather weekend and were able to sit in the garden for lunch. We fit two cars on the driveway nicely too. The walk to the high street was very short we even walked to the miniature railway for a fun trip on the train! The house and location is beautiful, I highly recommend!

Property was excellent for our needs.

Very little. Creaky floor in a bedroom were an issue for one very light sleeper, but that could not be avoided.

Comfortable beds & sofa's. Good showers & a well stocked kitchen.

The hot water was scolding hot & should be turned down immediately as it is dangerous, especially to children. Two of my party scalded their hands. Larger bath towels & outdoor furniture needs either replacing or some tlc.

One small bath towel was a bit mean ! Have always had two in other places. Needs to be a bath sheet and a decent sized hand towel. Found the television difficult to operate in just getting normal channels.

Property nice & clean & ample parking

It was initially hard to find the property as signage not visible. Despite property being clean there were an abundance of live flies behind some of the blinds as if the property had been shut up for a while 🤔. Some of old pictures could do with updating.

Garden furniture. It was broken and not very clean Beds were ok but fitted sheets kept slipping out of place
