Casa do Caramba - The Dream House

Wir haben ein paar Tage in diesem schönen und liebevoll eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und bekamen einen gut gefüllten Korb mit Leckereien. Die Lage ist wirklich wunderschön an der Klippe und einsam. Es ist auf jeden Fall kein Haus bei dem man nach einer Wanderung am Abend mal so schnell in ein Restaurant fahren kann. Die Straße dorthin ist teils unbefestigt, was aber kein Problem ist. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Die Angabe, dass es eine Waschmaschine gibt, stimmt nur zum Teil, denn es handelt sich um eine Miniwaschmaschine, in der man schnell mal Unterwäsche waschen kann. Das war allerdings für uns kein Problem.

L’établissement est un vrai petit coin de paradis. La vue y est incroyable ainsi que les coucher et lever de soleil. La maison est très bien équipée et très propre. La maison se trouve juste à côté d’une belle plage de sable noir. Cette maison nous a permis de profiter d’une autre manière de l’île de Pico, de se relaxer et de prendre le temps. L’hôte était d’une grande gentillesse et nous fait un très bon accueil et un petit cadeau d’arrivée nous attendait.

Tout : emplacement, vue, gentillesse, réactivité, authenticité, générosité, jardin, hamac, panier d’accueil, espaces divers, calme (le chant des puffins la nuit est inoubliable).

Clean house on nice spot of the island. Basic facilities. However the noises at night overrule the positives.

House doesn't have an oven. Due to humidity a fan would be nice but wasn't there. Couches aren't comfortable. Main problem during our stay wre the noises of the birds. It starts at 10 PM and continues all night! No possibility to sleep at all, even with all windows closed. We became to exhausted that we considered to book a hotel for the nights but that would be extra costs we couldn't afford. It's pure terror and 4 nights without any sleep is terrible, We came to relax but left very tired. The place shouldn't be rented out when those birds are there. they fly all night around the house with very loud sounds. You can find it on internet on youtube. Cagarros - Azores Night Bird. We stayed in other places on the Azores which were half of the price and enjoyed it so much. This was a big disaster!

My wife and I have been traveling for 15 years. This is the most magical place we have lived in. When I saw photos of these apartments and the surrounding landscape, I rescheduled my entire vacation to go there. I was not mistaken. The room is very spacious, comfortable and beautiful, with its own style. The house has everything you can think of for a comfortable stay. The hosts are very kind and always ready to help. We were met at the apartment, given the keys and shown the house. I'll do my best to get there again.

There are no shops or restaurants nearby. But if you have a car, this is not a problem. For those who value solitude this is an advantage.
