Notranjska Hiša is a beautifully restored house with wonderful original features combined with modern comforts. If you are interested in local history there is a lot to learn about this place. The wood stoves make it very cosy - and if you’re not very skilled at making fires, the family will do it for you. Don’t worry though, you don’t need to rely on wood fires, there is also a very efficient heating system and an excellent, hot shower. Nataša and the whole family make you feel very welcome and are fantastic cooks. They were also happy to help us to get around and gave some great recommendations. The surrounding area has some amazing forests and wildlife - the kind of forest you can get lost in! There’s even a natural spring which people still drink from. There are also many places of interest like Cerknica lake and Postojna caves just a short drive away, it’s definitely a great place to be based for nature lovers. We had a wonderful family Christmas and New Year there and would love to go back soon. Thanks Nataša and family!
