The shower had good pressure

The pictures on the website are very misleading, there are actually 2 apartments and the one we got was not what was advertised. There was no terrace and only a single small window, it felt like a dungeon. There is no air conditioning as advertised, just a single small fan in the bedroom. With the temperature outside being in the 30s and no way to get air flowing through the place, we were miserably hot. Running the shower made the whole place incredibly humid since there was no exhaust fan. The shower drain was completely clogged and would have flooded the bathroom, I had to unclog it myself. There was no body wash or shampoo provided. There were only 2 towels and no way to dry them because of the humidity. The bed only had 2 small uncomfortable pillows. There was no bottle opener in the kitchen. The smoke alarm was just laying on the floor instead of being mounted on the ceiling. Twice, the guests in the other suite locked us in the apartment because they had a key to the front gate and we didn't. We told the host and he didn't have a spare key and did nothing to fix the issue. We had to leave out the front sliding door and leave the place unlocked for anyone to come in. The wifi signal was also too weak to actually use.

We love the place so much!!!! At the beginning we had trouble to enter the property. Once we called our host Salvatore, he showed up in 5min and we are in the property in no time. The place is way more than we need 😂 2 bedrooms, a massive living room, kitchen, stair to the second floor, big balcony 😍😍 Perfect location. 7min walk to gelato shop. Omg I miss this place

The only down side is the stair to the top floor since there is no handle on the stair. Kinda dangerous not gonna lie. But I got balance so I was good 😆

Location and hospitality of the host

Santa Maria Navarrese is a nice little town, everything is walking distance from the accommodation, and a great starting point to visit the region. Parking spaces are easily found next to the accommodation.

You have to be very careful : in Sa Dommu i Mare, there are actually 2 (very) distinct apartments : -"House with 2 bedrooms" : this one is the only one with a terrace, has a blue door, and occupies the upper floors. It is the one that has the largest number of comments, most of them positive. Also the one I was expecting to rent sadly... -"House with 1 bedroom" : this one has no terrace, occupies the ground floor, has a sandy color door. The inside has been recently redone and is clean, however there are a few major problems that made our stay very challenging. Humidity : there are no windows.. Apart from a door opening from the kitchen onto the road, so can't be kept opened when you are not here, there is only a small vasistas in the bedroom, which does not allow to renew air sufficiently. As a result, the first thing you feel when opening the door is a gush of moist air. Impossible to dry your towels, clothes.. Even by using the small air extractor in the bathroom. The bathroom is open on the rest of the flat, which adds to the humidity problem. As a consequence, sleeping at night is very challenging, especially with a bit of heat. There is a fan (not a climatizer) that helps a bit to breathe, but you have to keep the vasistas open, bringing in all the car noises from the nearby road. Then there are some surprising missing things, even if that's more of a detail : no bowl or large cup to drink from, a broken sun umbrella.. You will also hear the foot noises of the happy people who rented the top apartment in the morning.. The front door lock is not very safe, a bump of the shoulder would open it. On the Booking.com advertisement for the establishment, photos of he two apartments are mixed, and it's not clear at all there are two different lodgings. I would certainly not have paid this rent for the ground floor apartment, you can find climatized hotel rooms in the same street for a better price.

El apartamento era perfecto, super cómodo, ambientes amplios y luminosos, cuenta con lugar para aparcar muy cómodo. Si tuviera que elegir que fue lo que más me gustó es la terraza, con sillones muy cómodos, ideal para disfrutar el sunset. Salvatore fue súper amable con nosotros. Sin duda volvería a este alojamiento y lo súper recomiendo
