Flamouria

Everything. The place was fantastic, Eleni the owner was fantastic. We were so happy with the place. There is so much space for the kids to run around indoors and outdoors as well and great balconies.

The eye-catching pictures do not correspond to the reality! We relied to have enjoyable and relaxing experience in Flamouria, but numerous issues significantly diminished the quality of our vacation. We were unpleasantly surprised at first sight. The exterior and the outer space is far away from the pictures on Booking.com: the barbecue zone was not so cozy and relaxing; the kids’ corner does not exist, but we relied on it; the decoration on the balcony was far from the green garden on the pictures; there was a missing mosquitos net on the main door of the balcony. One of the biggest problems was that the house has serious construction problems due to many cracks on the floors. As a whole the atmosphere on the pictures is much more eye-catching and in full contrast to the current property condition. Unfortunately, the interior and the accessories were quite more disappointing. All the doors in the house were quite noisy and disturbing. The doors’ hinges were all not greased and creak a lot. We were walking on tiptoes, but could not avoid the terrible noises from the old floor and the old doors that refused to be opened and closed silently. Each movement wakes up the other guests. It was more than just disturbing. The bathrooms need more attention from the owner as the showers were not working properly and there was mold. The whole feeling was for not well cleaned space. There was not enough light in the living room and the kitchen in the evenings. It was very dark. The kitchen was also not well equipped. There were not enough glasses for each guest. The property did not meet our expectations and the price is quite unreasonable for this service! We do not recommend!

The accommodation was very nice and clean. The owner / the person from whom we took the key was very kind, she also gave us some tips about nice beaches, restaurants, etc. and I had a very good communication with her along the way. The village is not big, but you will find a small city center with shops and restaurants. You can only go to the beach by car, closest one is about 5-8 min away, but is a simple sandy beach (quite large with enough sunbeds and also towel places) and the water not the "Greece" one :)).

The floors and doors creak very loudly, whenever we had to wake up during the night, we practically woke up the whole house. In one of the rooms, the closet was full of the owners' belongings, so that only one cupboard was available for our things and it was not enough. Although it is not something tragic, we expected that in a fully rented house, we would find certain essential things, such as salt, pepper, maybe a little oil, some towels for the kitchen, detergent for the dishwasher, toilet paper (there was just 1 per bathroom and we were 6 people for 7 nights) etc. It's not something mandatory, we understand, but there are small things that would have made our stay more pleasant, especially since it was not a cheap accommodation at all, and these things would have meant a tiny expense, but they would have had a very big impact. We know that, in general, the Greeks are very hospitable people and attentive to such things so we were a little surprised by this.

Very cosy, like a home place, perfect for recharging and calm stay. Beautiful house with a beautiful garden. The host was wonderful. Thank you for the perfect stay!
