Casa La Margherita

Location was great, very clean and host was very responsive. Large bedrooms & bathrooms, Kitchen was well stocked. We stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely stay again.

Lots of stairs with no lift. 3 Flights to get to the apartment and then 2 additional floors to get to bedroom and the sitting area. But not surprising in an historically building. Would be nice if there was a little more sitting in the living area where everyone could sit together in the evenings.

The apartment had a beautiful interior. The 3 bedrooms plus extra sofa bed was perfect for our bonus family with 2 adults and 4 kids. Luca was a responsive host who provided us with extra sheets on short notice.

The location of the house was excellent. A 2 minute walk from the ferry port and on a lovely busy street with bars and restaurants a minutes walk away but which was very quiet on a night when we were sleeping. The air conditioning was excellent and definitely needed in August when it was averaging 34/35 degrees daily! The bedrooms were big and the bathrooms were modern with good showers. Luca met us at the house and was very kind and helpful; we communicated by WhatsApp while we were there and he gave us tips and information on local buses and trains etc, He couldn't do enough for us, The train station is about a 20 minute walk away where you can catch trains to Verona/Milan/Venice it is uphill to the train station but not steep or strenuous but just be aware; people may find it too far to walk in 34 degree heat. Luca can give you contacts for taxi or mini buses if you need them. We didn't use the buses but there was a bus stop next to the ferry port. There is a small lake beach called Margy beach about 15 mins walk along the prom were you can hire pedalo's/ umbrellas and sun loungers etc, The water temperature was lovely in August but you definitely need beach shoes because it is rocky and pebbly.

We enjoyed our weeks stay very much but just to note there a lot of steps and going up and down different stairs to access the property and in the property. There isn't a lift so the property wouldn't be suitable for people with restricted mobility and maybe families with very young children with prams and buggies etc

Very good location, three comfortable bedrooms and kitchen. We had enough space for three adults and two children.

Excellent location right in the middle of town. Friendly and helpful hosts, couldn't do enough for you. A very enjoyable stay.

Great Location, in the middle of Desenzano, air conditioning, 3 fully bath rooms, perfect for 6 people, equipped kitchen, parking lot 5 min away for 10 Euro per day, a lot of nice restaurants around the place, house owner very friendly and welcoming.

The apartment was so spacious and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect with restaurants, shops,beach & boat trips all within walking distance.

The apartment is in an excellent location, near the promenade of the lake and the port, and not far from the main roads. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the windows block the humming from the street.

The apartment has three floors, which might not be comfortable for families with little children. The living room on the top floor is small, containing only a sofa and a T.V., so there is actually no place for the family to gather, other than the kitchen.
