Casa do Palheiro

A casa é muito bem localizada, todas as divisões são espaçosas e cómodas. Tem todos os utensílios e equipamentos necessários, e até alguns alimentos para o pequenos almoço. Estava tudo bastante limpo.

Alguns dos quartos precisam de alguns melhoramentos em relação às infiltrações. As janelas também poderiam ter um melhor isolamento da luz, já que as cortinas atuais não são totalmente eficazes. Também fomos todos acordados às 3:30da manhã com música alta de um vizinho, que por sinal é recorrente e os proprietários estão a par. Tivemos de ir ao exterior confrontar este vizinho a meio da noite, o que, além de desagradável, estragou a noite a todos os hóspedes.

The house is very beautiful and spacious. However, it doesn’t seem to be designed for cold weather. When we arrived, it was only +2°C outside, and the house was freezing cold. Unfortunately, the hosts hadn’t thought to warm it up before our arrival — unlike our friends who stayed in a neighboring house that welcomed them with a blazing fireplace. It took a full day for the house to warm up, and since it’s large, it heated up very slowly. Check-in was contactless. We were simply told where to find the key, but there were no instructions on how to use the heating system. The fireplace, which works with special pellets, was not explained at all — and no information was provided about how to heat the house in general. Another issue was that when the electric heaters were on, we couldn’t use the stove or microwave without tripping the circuit breakers. Also, the house lacked basic kitchen appliances like an electric kettle and toaster — a downside for me. On the positive side: the cleanliness was impeccable, there was a wide selection of kitchenware, a welcome pack with tea and coffee, good Wi-Fi, and a great location in the national park.

Beautiful location and beautiful house. Host left us some things for breakfast which was really nice!
