Easy and flexible check in with a lock box outside the apartment

Our stay here was terrible. The apartment was extremely cold on arrival and even after 6 hours of turning up the heating unit, it was still freezing. The power intermittently shut off and had to be reset through the breaker panel. The apartment is also quite old and smelt very musty and unpleasant. I tried contacting the host with the main issues around heating and power, but never heard back. Unfortunately due to this, we had to find a different accomodation for the night and filed a complaint with Booking.com. The host still has not responded to any of these concerns.
