The Garden

The Garden was very clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities for staying a few days or more.

The external shutters keep out a lot of light. I recommend for future guests to consider sleeping with the external shutters open so that you get morning light - if you like morning light, of course.

Great location and the host was super helpful to find the property, which at night is a great challenge to find

One night for over 600 euros is excessive, and value for money is clearly not adequate

modern, bright, very clean, good attention to detail, well equipped for basic BnB, cooking needs. Great use of space indoors and lovely courtyard space. Lovely views of hills in peaceful surrounds of Volastra. Very secure property.

A little inconvenient at times being reliant on the bus as transport to get up or down to Manarola if not wanting to walk the steep 3km up or down between towns. But the peace of the location outweighed the slight inconvenience if you plan your day and evening accordingly.

The room and property were very well maintained. Every convenience was considered.

The loft was spotless and had up to date technology and appliances like a touch screen bathroom mirror, call box at the front door if you lock yourself out, heated towel rack, powerful air conditioning, etc. The private backyard patio was so charming, the host was wonderful and super helpful which all made for a 5 star stay.

Nothing! The stay was absolutely perfect. No complaints.

Volastra is an excellent location as a “base camp” to explore Cinque Terre and The Garden is a wonderful place to stay in town. The off street parking made it easy to access with a vehicle, which was safely stored under a few olive trees. The apartments are located close to town with easy access to the bus station to Manarola and the hiking trails to Corniglia/Manarola. Keta is a wonderful host, we got so many recommendations for excellent restaurants and things to do in the area. It’s not a bad idea to make a reservation to any restaurants you want to try, since some of them fill up quickly during prime dinner time. Be sure to check what days your top choices may be closed. Don’t miss Locanda Tiabuscion (in Volastra, excellent seafood - try the fish tasting!) and La Regina di Manarola (in Manarola, great vibes + excellent cocktails). Pasta Take-Away in Manarola is a super cute hole-in-the-wall bar with great breakfast and coffee.

For The Garden we loved EVERYTHING except the pillows were a little tough to sleep on. On the last morning we found extra pillows, our bad for not checking the closet or asking Keta. Next time we know! Honestly, the place is amazing, just book!
