Charme House Taormina

In my numerous travels and stays at top-tier hotels and apartments, Charme House has truly set a new standard. It’s honestly a cut above the rest, feeling more like a home than any hotel ever could. Chiara, our wonderful host, didn’t miss a beat — she thought of everything from bathroom essentials to a well-stocked kitchen and breakfast goodies. The apartment itself was spotless, with chic and sophisticated decor that made every corner feel special. And let’s talk about that view! The huge balcony overlooks the bay and Mount Etna, offering the perfect backdrop for those lazy, late-afternoon chill sessions watching the Taormina sunset. I’d jump at the chance to stay here again and really hope future guests treasure and respect this place as much as I did. It’s a testament to the owner’s commitment to our comfort. Plus, there’s a handy Deco supermarket nearby for any bits and bobs you need, and catching a cab is a breeze near the Catania gate.

Really spacious, felt brand new and perfect location

Parking wasn’t that close but the parking place suggested offered a shuttle

We were greeted by the owner’s mother who unfortunately did not speak much English, we were given the key and little to no instruction or word on the house or the neighbourhood. The property itself is an amazing place but definitely we feel let down by the owner. We had not water for almost 24 hours, unable to shower or even wash, we resorted to use water bottles. We have now asked for a partial refund or our stay, something we believe it is fair. Our budget is no high and this stay was “a little treat” for us yet obviously it has left a sour taste. The owner has failed to even acknowledge our message asking for that partial refund so this is our way to make it public in the hope we can be finally heard and reach an agreement wit her.

Great location, close to town centre. Great location for Greek Amphitheatre, walkable to beech and local attractions. Sleek contemporary decor, a great base for a couple visiting Taormina. Adequate cooking facilities, although a vast number of restaurants close by. Plenty of toiletries and unexpected breakfast supplies. Would have no hesitation recommending the place and the owner (Chiara) was very helpful in terms of advice for local transport, local eateries and bars (all via What's App).

We liked literally EVERYTHING! It was a great experience living at La Charme House. It really exceeded our expectations. The location is great.. just 4-5mins from the main street and belvedere of Taormina. The host - Chiara - was really nice and helpful, with great communication. And the place... Oh! The place is just PERFECT! Exceptionally CLEAN, full of emenities (including snacks for breakfast, water, tea, coffee, toiletries, etc.), in a very quite area, and right in the middle of a private (quite large) garden. A very large bathroom and a super comfortable bed! PS: The breath-taking views from both the bedroom and the living room, is beyond description! It was like a small place from heaven! Thanks Chiara. You really made our short holiday at Taormina, an experience to remember! We will surley visit again in the near future.

Nothing! Everything was so great.

The location was amazing, and had beautiful views, but was still within walking distance to the town centre, which we really liked. The apartment was so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and had gardens surrounding the property which were all stunning too. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked with things we might need, and we really appreciated the welcome basket! Would definitely definitely stay here again if we come back to Taormina!

There is a semi-main road next to the apartment, which can get loud with motorbikes. However, the shutters and windows help minimise this by a lot, so it wasn’t a big issue for us.

Such an amazing vintage house with all the smallest details planned. The view from the balcony was amazing. Our host was very welcoming and kind. We would definitely come back.
