What a charming house and great outdoor space!

The bathroom setup was a little odd, but it’s an older house so that is to be expected.

Comfortable beds, sufficient kitchen equipment, very friendly owner Francesco.

Location, Facilities.

The only thing that bothered us was the windows allowed in too much light in the morning and therefor woke us early.

Excellent property, with a very large garden full of fruit trees and a swimming pool. The old house has been renovated nicely, while retaining its traditional character. Francesco, the owner, is very polite, friendly and hospitable. Being a musician, he has put his artistic spirit into work, to create an exceptional environment. Our two favorite activities: eating fresh figs from the tree while swimming in the pool and grilling meat and vegetables in the garden grill.

Francesco was very accommodating and was always available. It's not far from all the towns by car. A good base to discover the area. The kids enjoyed the pool. Thanks.

Talk about convenient. La Corte di Nonno sits 5 minutes away from the spectacular town of Ceglie Messapice. While this is not a Masseria in the strictest sense, it is a working farm with olive, almond, and fruit trees onsite. We were able to pick delicious Ceglie almonds as well as pomegranates. The host, Francesco, met us on check in, provided some sweets as a welcome, and told us a little bit of the property's history as a farm started by his grandfather. 3 bedrooms with 2 baths with a refreshing pool for the price we paid was a steal. The house is immaculate and very charming. Full disclosure, though, Italian mosquitoes abound. However, this is not unique by any means to La Corte (they were a pain in every town we visited). Wifi was great. There is a washer that we used, although drying involved hanging in the courtyard. Ceglie Messapica itself is a wonderful town of white-washed buildings and is a gastronomic center. It is also the perfect base to explore Val d'Itria. Cities such as Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Monopoli, Taranto are all a short-is drive away (no more than an hour). Francesco gave us recommendations for some fantastic restaurants and beaches although we were only able to visit a small fraction during our very inadequate 3 night stay.

Lack of toiletries. But that's not really something I expected. One of the rooms had only a hanging rack to keep clothes. The other room had none at all. The third room had a LARGE closet. So that was a bit strange. Other than that, I can't really complain.
