CASETTA DEL SARACENO

Booked the premises in advance of stay. We were a party of three. Bookings .com advert stated it was suitable for three. Pictures on site were predominantly of a large Air-conditioned apartment/studio which I thought we had booked for three adults. In discussion with Luigi the owner a few days after he explained we had booked a small studio with no air conditioning. He offered us the larger place but before we could accept it was auto booked by other guests. Luigi was really helpful and set up another bed in our studio. The weather was very hot for us at 28 degrees overnight. We only had one fan and we didn't sleep. On the second night he provided a further fan. Luigi met us after midnight to give us the keys which was 'going the extra mile' for us. There was building work ongoing in the same house during the day which didn't affect us too much really. Place was in a good location near a lovely bakery. Beach and supermarket 5 mins away. Loved Roccalmere. Good location to stay to visit Taormina/ Catania /Syracuse by train. Highly recommend staying here. Just ensure you are in the right room

To start with - the host was very helpful and the place is in excellent condition, very new, with all the amenities you might need. It was also very clean and comfortable. My favourite bits: - the bed and pillows were like clouds, we loved them! - extra toilet - washing machine and dryer It was a perfect stay!

The apartment was gorgeous, very very comfortable(the bed, the chairs, the couch, the matress, the towels, absolutely everything!) and spotlessly clean. Wonderful host who was kind and helpful. I wish we could have stayed much longer!

Everything. Towels and sheets are high quality, and bed. The firm/dense foam that doesn’t disrupt your partner if you move. She even lent us a tiny bit of detergent since all the stores were closed Sunday evening by the time we arrived. Maybe the nicest, most functional stop we had to refuel and do laundry, relax and make dinner. Also, the locals were great! We got a flat tire and several helped us just up the road from the stay- screw in the tire. All fixed!

Just close the window and turn the AC or heat fan on high just for late night people driving fast. Honestly, we loved everything!
