Stella maris holiday house

We loved the location, a little ways from the busyness of town. We loved the walk into town and rented a scooter which got us up and down the hill. The patio is lovely to relax on. Everything was very clean, comfortable and quaint. The host’s daughter was very easy to communicate with. We needed extra towels and we received them right away.

The bathroom drawers and cupboards seem to have been overlooked in the cleaning process. A new iron and blow dryer are needed.

The property was beautiful. It had what I needed. The walk down to Sorrento is steep but lovely. Sitting on the terrace at night was magical.

I liked everything once I was familiar with the local bus that took me to and from Sorrento centre.

The stove was broken. The location is terrible... Like straight up the hill. It was deadly difficult to carry luggage there. Not much public transport in evening. Too much money for nothing

Lovely location and brilliant views

A steep climb back to the apartment but we were aware of this in advance.

The walk into Sorrento was nice but it was steep in parts. Takes about 20 minutes. Took a taxi to get back as too hot to walk back. Taxi's between 20 and 30 Euros. Shower was very temperamental - difficulty in getting the right temperature. Small fridge. We did some self catering - only hob available, no oven. Close to a road, there is some road noise and barking dogs very early in the morning. Could do with darker nets/curtains. Lace curtains let light in. Bit tricky to find. But he neighbours were very helpful in giving directions. We drove all around Tuscany with no problem. When we arrived by car in Sorrento it was complete chaos. No rules for driving - you need to have your wits about you! so many mopeds and cars pulling out in front of you from all directions.
